I think you’ll find that most people here have a lot of good knowledge to share and are very willing to help people out as long as:
NOTE: the comments inside the parens are general comments, not aimed at anyone in particular
- You don’t damage the mapping community (e.g., ripping off maps, being a general jerk, blah, blah, blah)
- You don’t make it hard for people to help you (multiple threads about the same thing, very general problem statements, being a general jerk, multiple ‘strean of consciousness’ posting style
- You demonstrate a good faith effort to try. People don’t expect new mappers to ‘get it’ immediately, but we also aren’t here to spoon feed you a new map.
