DarW1n Patch vs Previous

This graphic confirms the feeling we (or I) are having…

First off I feel less accurate with a lot of the guns but I bet if you look at the stats this isnt the case… The recoil with the hit bounce give a very sea sick feel. Plus the RLRL shooting feels totally off now…

Second, as you can see in the graphic I have just around the same XP in both patches and my sniper kills and ACC is right around the same… A few things changed on the new patch and the biggest was the FOV… So I just made my game play FOV higher to compensate (shhhhh HAHA)

Third, a few big things pop out at you on this graphic. My SPM went down even though on this patch the TTK went up! How can that be!!! I would love to see pix break this down because I can sure feel the drop…

Forth, KD… My KD is down a TON on this patch… Most games I play I shoot for a KD of right around 2 and that is what it was last patch… Last patch actually didnt feel that bad… This patch my KD slipped to 1.6 and is trending downward… This is again noticeable… Low to mid players are getting kills because its so easy or they are cleaning up because a battle gets you so low you can finish a noob off… Again the skill ceiling has dropped this patch… I am getting killed by guns from level 1 and not smurfs real level ones!!! I could understand if I get nadered or hit by stokers fire but when a level one that just got the game comes around the cover and gets 3 body shots as fragger or one shots me as a shotgun I get pissed!!!

Fifth. My W/L. My W/L is way down because it is harder to carry a team. (That is when I play OBJ, most of the time its TDM) A few patches ago we said it was hard to get 2 or 3 kills in a row… I have the same problem but I am sure for a different reason…Its very spammy and the gun deal very odd felling damage…

Please take a look at this graphic and take it to heart maybe even a baseline… I look forward in comparing it with other patches to come and others should do the same…

I have asked for echo stats in the past and back in Alpha we got them a few times and it was like xmas. It would be interesting to see how our SPM and ACC and HS come pair to the last patch because my graphic paints a pretty straight up story…

I totaly agree with you spookify…

  • what is even more annoying for me is that the latest patch is very unstable… Yesterday I played 1h20m or so and my game crashed 4 times… I ended up playing 3 maps in total? I will do a total reinstall and hope that’ll solve it… but it should not be happening.

I am very curious how the next patch will solve all these problems…

Level 1’s being able to level 20’s sounds like a good sign to me no? That’s what we want right?

Only of that level 1 is a good player just entering the game… If it is a 14yr old CoD advanced warfare noob from console then no…

Soon as you start switching to pistol after half a clip your accuracy will fly up once again.
I feel the start is nice middle not bad but the end of each clip feels worse then ever.

I agree the first few bullets feel amazing an all most all guns but then you really get into a battle or jump off a wall or even just stand there and it turns into spray and pray.

which leads me to the point where i ask myself:
mb we need less spread-climb?
OR
how will we explain this spread increase for new players.(they will just think that everyone is unhit laggers etc.)

In a nut shell what these charts show me is that the skill ceiling has dropped. Between 2% and 3% of HS have dropped in 2% of the game population… You can for sure feel this in the game… You took the best 2% from the last patch and dropped them to a level that’s equal to a larger chunk of the player base… Overall ACC also seem down and again you took some of the top ACC and moved them around 2% down…

If everyone is a plateau at certain levels how will anyone ever stick out? Spam? This will not make for good esports as anyone can kill anyone… You arent getting that heart beating thrill of killing someone and then 180’ing and having a perfect shot to kill another (Especially against a good player)…

I think what ailmanki is asking is why are we feeling and seeing a more odd feeling game? You gave us the balance notes and those will effect somethings but people KD’s are way down and I am thinking SPM is also…

Conclusion: Basically anyone can kill anyone right now and it is very frustrating and like playing a Hello Kiddy FPS game… Going up against good players like potty, mrfunk and inferno and either you killing them or they kill you; it was never a v56 “great shot”… Its how the F did I die or how the F didnt you die!!! Its an empty feeling…

Smooth you bring balance, zen and beard to this dujo and I hope this game can eventually have a crazy high skill ceiling that isnt full of spam.

What would be really cool is a chart showing the average time between the first hit taken and death.

You’re misreading the data. The best players are at the far end, getting 5% or higher headshot accuracy and there’s more of them now and fewer ‘average’ players in the 2-3% range.

Average Headshot Accuracy in this update has actually increased from 2.91% to 3.00%

Hip-fired accuracy is again up across the board from 25.8% to 26.8%.

Spook, I do not feel that K/D is down due to spread or the weapons really…
I feel its more down to more deaths from random spam that you can do nothing about.

Apart from vs Freze I feel confident going 1vs1 with anyone and still having a chance.
(Freze is bull****) lol

I just find I am fighting less with 100% hp.
I am also dying more to people I cannot see.

Not saying that I like the new spread (I personally find it a bit extreme at the end of a clip) but I kinda think it balanced out for me…

True the spam is up but when I get hit by fire I do say great shot because it is an ability kill… The crossfire and getting hit from 1000 different angles feels up… Quick run burst past a hallway and come out the other end at 25% HP is a wtf moment…

Freze is odd but if you get 3 good players vs 3 good players he is right around the same as everyone… Plus my lag helps me kill him haha!! He is one of thee only people that I feel like I get hit like a ton of bricks with the first few shots… 1 second into the fight I am at 10% HP!!! And I have only hit him once!

Dieing to people you cant see is the craziest thing right now… My head is always on a swivel and I feel I have very good awareness of what is around me so when I die out of the blue I want to smash my keyboard!!! I am not sure if it has to do with ping or what but this happens a lot…

Something is odd about the spread now that is for sure… Tracking after the first burst doesnt feel right… A simple shot like side raging is now very complex… Not to mention you are forced to side body rage rather then go for the head because of recoil and random horizontal recoil now…

The small maps have a great deal to do with everything… Previous patches you could run into a small space with 2 enemys and have a chance to kill both… Now you see 2 enemy’s you are boned! You are even lucky to get one now… Just hold down the trigger and foot rage vs me going for the heads and still getting rolled…

The Blood, hit reg feed, animation of recoil, spread scale and others still need to be looked at…

DB = Small Map, fast mercs, High ROF, High Spam and Fast Deaths at Close Range with Horrible Servers and weird deaths at Far range because your crosshair is bouncing all over the place…

Anyway we can talk about this until we are blue in the face… Smooth says the same stuff over and over especially when I ask for stats… They appear close to the previous patch… True but the feel SUCKS! haha

I note my SPM from this patch to the last patch… I am DOWN 128 SPM!!!
Spending more time dead?
Not staying alive?
Fast TTK
High Spam?
Unable to get multi Kills with Guns?

Higher non-counterable spam will definitely get you killed a lot more this patch, but I don’t think these stats are ever very reflective of anything. Teams are constantly imbalanced or have drastic skill differentials. Playing pugs is about as close as you might get to measuring the skill gap or your own actual skill when everything is on more level ground.

I am not talking about skill myself… I will never be the worst player or the best.
I just feel overall that I am having a lot less fun with the game recently.

Part of the feeling I have is down to playing though the changes but I still think there is some valid concerns that the overall gameplay to me feels a lot worse today then it did 6 months ago when I started. Maybe that is mainly down to not being able to figure out where the game is going or maybe its just nostalgia… Don’t really know… All I do know is I no longer have the urge to play and it is really starting to feel like I am forcing myself.
