I’ve heard alot of complaints from coverts that lts completly negate coverts once the lt has lvl 4. So I came up with an idea:

I think that a smoke grenade thrown on an airstrike should cause it to miss.

In order for this to happen smoke would have to start coming out of the canister as soon as it leaves the hand (in order to be considered ‘realistic’ by the people that complain about realism)

This would stop people from complaining about airstrike spam because they could do something about it, it would give coverts a new less lame (lame being grabbing every uniform in sight) way to level, and it would give balance to the lt vs cvrt relationship.

Real life smoke grenades (modern ones at least) work on a fuse, just like any other grenade. They dont start smoking immediately. Smoke grenades get extremely hot, having one going off in your hand is very dangerous.

While having it smoke immediately would be good in terms of what your suggesting, it wouldn’t neccesarily make it more realistic.

By the way, I think Level4 Covert Op is next to useless. I use knife much more than average player on pub, and I must say Assassin is nothing to wait for. In any case 2 backstabs can do the trick, I don’t feel benefit from double backstab damage at all. If I can suprise soldier with Mg or Mortar, Field Op looking thru binoculars or sniper Covop it really doesn’t matter.

What I would LOVE to see as level4 reward

With such skill I would know If I can afford to attack enemy soldier with Sten or Fg42. I would know whetever to run or fight.
