I’m wondering if there is a cvar command that flashes the weapon icon (bottom right corner) when you reload. I found “cg_drawweaponiconflash” which turns the icon red when you’re using the weapon/item. but it doesn’t do anything for reloads. I’m pretty sure there was something in RtCW that did this, but I can’t find it in ET.
I would like to know this cuz I’m starting to play with cg_drawgun off now, and I think a flashing icon during a reload would be helpful. Yes, I’ve played ET since beta and RtCW for a year before, and can hum the tune of the reload sounds in my head, but I’m a visual person.
also, does the sound cvar “s_khz” actually do anything in ET? This is the “Sound Quality” option that is in the [System] menu. I know in RtCW, when I lowered it, I noticed considerable sound differences. particularly when I threw ammo/med packs onto the floor.
but in ET, I tried lowering it to 1, and I found no sound difference at all.
s_mixahead does something for sure I know.
