customized Main menu Music is not working

Hi all,

I have added a new sound for my .pk3 file but always when I log in to ET it will play old music not the new one.

Below is the folder structure I used,

~\sound\music\menu_server.wav

(menu_server.wav – I have added a new one and rate is 22005 Hz)

Appreciate your help.

oh i see, if you were running a mod like say etpub, you will have your sound file in there so what you have to do is go to your icon on the desktop and on the target… at the end of the line put +set fs_game (modname), where you put the file

EXAMPLE

like c:/program files/wolfenstein - enemy territory/etpub/ my file is in the etpub folder, doing +set fs_game etpub will let the files in the etpub folder be used :wink:

you get what i mean??

Hi,

thanks for the reply.

i’m using jaymod and i have placed my pk3 file in “etmain” folder not in the jaymod folder earlier.

so i have added a shortcut and target is,

“C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\ET.exe” + set fs_game jaymod

and i have copied my pk3 file into jaymod as well, but still its playing the old music.

You only have to put it in the mod folder, so in this case the jaymod folder

i put my pk3 file (~~~~my.pk3) into jaymod folder but still old music.

Location of background music in pk3 file:

C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\jaymod~~~~my.pk3\sound\music\menu_server.wav

rename the file to z_my.pk3

when you sort file aphabetically ~ comes before the A so it’s not overwriting pak0.pk3

You need to choose a letter or symbol that comes after P
