I think the way rex wrote it was confusing. 8pm GMT is ofc 9pm CET. I thought the 8pm GMT+1 means 8+1 CET (9pm CET). Would have been easier if he said 7pm GMT or 8pm CET

Meh, my etqw keeps crashing when I join a server. Have to kill it with task manager. Not sure if It’s worth to have a closer look at the problem or just keep playing other games.

No, there is no password and its not invite only. Just join the server and have fun 
Yeah, just be sure to connect half an hour before as it may take two connects to download all custom maps.
ETQW is made so that there is a limit on number of maps that can be downloaded in one go, so if the download fails in the end, just connectagain and finish the download of missing maps.
Also, if you have maps still installed from the old nirvana server you might want to delete your megatextures and let them re-download to avoid the ‘invalid image’ error.
Wake island last objective is now working, with some luck it should be ‘done’ tomorrow but will release on Saturday so can add more eye candy.
not sure it is so high. Scrupus knows for sure. AFAIK around 12-14 files but I might be wrong. At max 20 imho.
