[drupal=298]Currently Hurling Controllers / Mice At… It’s Almost September! Edition[/drupal]

With virtually no major releases in the past two weeks, we’ve got another small gaming drought at our hands, but that certainly didn’t stop us from picking up our peripherals of choice. Xbox Live Arcade continues to deliver the goods and while we may not have gotten any new AAA fodder, the occasional quiet time lets us catch up on games we missed the first time around. Those of us yearning for new games will be happy to hear that September, which for some reason of other seems mark the early early beginning of the holiday season, is just around the corner.
If you haven’t seen it yet, join our local Xbox Live Community Leaderboard (currently headed up by forum member Ging) and show off your achievements to the world. Getting on there is simple - just register a forum account, fill out the Xbox Live Gamertag field and start posting on the forums. Now, let’s see what’s been killing our thumbs:

Never heard of that game sounds awesome though

The next few months are gonna be expensive I fear, even with staff discount… Picking up Too Human tomorrow for the co-op goodness, mercs 2 next week along with spore, Force Unleashed (and Multiwinia) on the 19th, Crysis: Warhead and Brothers in Arms on the 26th. October gives us Red Alert 3, Fracture and Dead Space at the very least… November is equally packed…

Perhaps I can do without eating or drinking for a while?

I was going to beat all of you and claim the #1 spot this month.
But my 360 died -,-

:frowning:

Still inside the 3 year warranty period?

The returns thing with MS is relatively pain free (bar the ~2 week wait for it to come back to you).

(Salteh) #7

Yeah, 2-3 weeks - have to send it to germany :frowning:

:([/QUOTE]

Must be the time for it, my brothers 360 died yesterday, it should be picked up in the next couple of days. That’s my weekend ruined, no drunken Halo 3 splitscreen fun… guess i’ll just need to actually finish one of my SP games for a change.

That’s a whole lot of games, you also forgot Fallout 3 and Fable 2

And where’s the love for Viva Pinata 2?

(DarkangelUK) #11

In the bin with the 1st one

(HuntMcfly) #12

:open_mouth: Blaspheme, I tells ya! Blaspheme!!

(badman) #13

…unless he meant the Awesome Bin. :o

(Smooth) #14

I don’t think he did…

(Nail) #15

some people think they’re too sophisticated for “kids” games, silly sods

i thought about getting it as well, but yesterday i saw this video:

i liked the demo somehow. i mean, it’s better than nothing, and something new. but judging from the above video the gameplay seems to be the same throughout the entire game, and the above gameplay looks especially boring. i guess i’ll be waiting for reviews of people who get it.

(Prognar) #17

I’m completely entranced by Castle Crashers.
