Crashing Problem!!

(Computertech) #21

Form the error itself:
Source: Userevn Category: None
Type: Error EventID: 1090
Windows couldn’t log the RSoP session status. An attempt to connect to WMi failed. No more RSoP logging will be done for this application of policy.

From a newsgroup post, from a Microsoft Engineer: “It could be that there is a problem with WMI on this machine. You can try recreating some of the WMI files using the steps below:
1 Stop the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service.
2 Go to the %SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem\Repository folder.
3. Delete all of the files that are in the %SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem\Repository folder.
4 Restart the computer. The files that were deleted are recreated when the computer restarts.
The Windows Management Instrumentation service will start automatically when you restart the computer”.
Solution 2:
Some use this whenever when they have this error and it works better than deleting and refreshing the repository:
cd /d %windir%\system32.
regsvr32 /n /I userenv.dll.
cd wbem.
mofcomp scersop.mof.
gpupdate /force

beofre when i had a geforce2 card (piece of crap) it always gave me problems till i got a CUSTOM driver for it. Igot a geforce4mmx now and wolf tends to crash on me about every 5-6 hrs too. Guru3d.com is a good place to look for info…
Maybe theres a custom driver for this card which improves performance too.

P.S If you find anything lemme know.

quite clearly its the flux capacitor

Evilbaga, you really can’t get good performance from a Geforce4 MX, (it’s really just a geforce2 Ti renamed). Silly for you to get a card with the exact same performance as your Geforce 2.

His AMD XP 1700+ CPU operates at 53 celcius by default (critical at 75 degrees celsius) and a MX440 chipset doesn’t have active cooling so that exclude the fan failure being the cause. If there was no heatsink on the VGAcard it wouldn’t even complete POST, wouldn’t you agree? And why would you think one would REMOVE a heatsink in the first place.

Whoa, thats the most incorrect news you could ever tell anyone.

I have the 1700+ and the reason bought it is because its the BEST overclocker on the market, meaning it has the lowest core voltage of any other card out there. I think it’s 1.43, wich in return gives it the LOWEST temps than any other cpu on the market. IF it runs at 53 by default then there is something WRONG.

mines runs at around maybe 31o C normally. I can get it to lower than that with not much trying.

in the winter time because my computer is right by a heater :frowning: it gets in the 50s, and thats the only reason.
goto www.overclockers.com and check it out on the forums. You see everyone likes to try clocking the heck out of these.

Also check out newegg.com and see all the great reviews it get. Only $42s too :drink:

btw, im having this stupid freezing problem. hopefully this info will help me.
