I love covert ops. Whenever I have the chance, I’m a covert ops, and I like to think a pretty good one. But I have some questions about just how the loss of a uniform works with covert ops.
For instance: I’m an ally with an axis uniform on. I sneak up behind an axis and knife him in the back. I DON’T get the instant kill, but I do kill him. I also lose my uniform.
Why is that? I thought the use of silenced weapons and knives let you keep your uniform. Is it a question of being “discovered” by someone else?
Another instance: I’m at level 4 in covert ops, which means I have assassin. Supposedly that lets me not lose my uniform when using non-silenced weapons. I throw a grenade. It doesn’t actually hit anyone, I’m throwing it at the tank. I lose my uniform.
It just seems to me that it’s very arbitrary when you’ll lose your uniform. Sometimes a knife kill lets me keep my uniform, sometimes a knife kill makes me lose it. Am I doing something wrong, or does it maybe need a little tweaking still?
