covert ops need to spot mines more often

i cant crouch and walk defusing land mines left and right in the middle of the battlefield

LOL! I hate that. For some strange reason I am always on the team with one engie, and me being the med with 8 covert ops all sniping. Not one of them jokers will take the time to pull out the binos and spot the mines for us.

Some times if the engie works with me, he will just blow himself up and I’ll revive to clear them quickly. But sometimes, that one engie I am working with taps out knowing damn well I am standing next to him as a medic…

I even tried buttering them up by telling them they get XP for spotting mines… Still doesn’t work.

If a CvOps doesn’t do it and I hear an Engie or someone ask for a mine sweep, I just pop the pistol and RUN as fast as I can through the area. Human mine sweeper!

Sure, I get blown to little chunks, but hey!

Have you guys seen a dead body on a mine? As soon as it bleeds through the ground, BOOM!

This is particularly sad on Fuel Depot, where you can pretty much be sure there will be landmines at the gate, inside the fortifications, and right outside as well. It takes about three seconds for a covert ops to sometimes spot 3-5 mines. That’s a good amount of experience for such a short amount of time, aside from when I’m playing Covert Ops myself, I rarely ever see anyone sweeping for mines there.

I think the problem may be that most Cvops don’t actually know that they can scan for mines, or how to do it if they do.

Right now my biggest pet peeve is not being able to play Covert Ops (my favorite class) because we’ve already got five of them on the team, not a single one of the doing anything more than trying to steal uniforms and then doing nothing with them.

yeah i agree - its left to yourself to switch to CVops to go to the ridge and bino the entrance - but hey people will learn slowly but surely they will learn!

Cov ops is considered more as a Sniper-class. That’s sad 'cause Cov ops can do so much more…

You’re forgetting the fancy dress specialists who don some natty threads and then get shot straight away.

Wudan is obviously in a penal battalion.

im noticing half my team is covert ops… and they get that dumb ass FG42 that does hardly any damage…

if you’re gonna snipe use the M1S Garand or K43…

but then again half the team shouldn’t be snipers to begin with. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

FG42 is very lethal at close range - and i think it gives the damage receiver more problems with screen bob and knockback and red tint since rounds are fired quicker - its harder to recover

I hate going up against an FG42 close up

Have you tried playing a medic and to adrenalin self, then speeding over the mines to clear them for your engineer? Works pretty good, you can run over two mines straight in line and loose about 10% health

i love spotting for mines… i do it more often than i snipe!
