I love Cookies (we call them Biscuits in England)

The law allows an exception for “strictly necessary” cookies, such as those used to
remember when something has been added to a shopping basket. These cookies would
be expected by the user implicitly for the action they requested to be carried out. Another
example would be login.

As far as I know, we only use cookies for login.
vbulletin uses ‘session cookies’ to store the current user session, but those are not affected by this law either.

For now, it seems we’re ok (?).

Technically there are quite a lot of cookies being set that should be requiring permission
e.g. Google Anlytics, AddThis, Chartbeat, probably some of vB’s

Don’t get me wrong though I think it’s a stupid directive and should rot in hell…
