might try herefor drivers and mapping instructions

But the important question is WHY??? The keyboard and mouse is infinitly better than any control pad.

Gamepad is far superior when it comes to scoring headshots. Especially true for Sten. That’s where halved spread really pays off versus more damage. Sten headshot is 40 if I remember correctly, while ThoMP40 is 50, only 10 more. But accuracy advantage is much more in your favour. So you really want to use Sten to get full advantage of a gamepad.

Try Nostromo N52 and mouse…WAY better.

Gamepad… more accurate… headshots…?

I don’t know any competitive players who use a gamepad at all, let alone to aim with. Movement I could sort of understand (like the Nostromo above)…

The PS steering wheel is the best for aim imo. You can literally drive into the enemy !!!

Every weapon that can give a headshot has a minimal damage of 50. (you can check the code on that)
Unless some mod changed it ^^

Greetz Panther aka Way2Evil

ps. I have a console and I can’t hit shit without a mouse, controlers suck for that tbh.
I only play games like Tekken & mortal Kombat on the console cause they suck to play on PC.

screw headshots… ull be handicapped in moving in general …turn 180 with a gamepad?. yeah sure when uve finally turned you’ll be dead…

(Gringo) #13

R what about using the singstar microphone. U can sing ur enemy to suicide, off course ur teammates need essential earplug supplies!

(Zombie13) #14

That thing drives me bonkers! :moo:

To benefit from using a controller…you really have to be playing a console shooter with ‘assisted aim’ on. Try playing Halo 2 on a hacked XBOX with keyboard and mouse…it’s not pretty. It just proves that keyboard and mouse are perfect for PC shooters and gamepads just for the console shooters.
I played Delta Force: Black Hawk Down for yonks with a sqd on trusty PC. Bought the XBOX port and got so frustrated with the lack of intuitiveness that I gave up with it. Now then- I played Halo with the XBOX for a while and bought the PC port. Whilst gfx were nicer and it felt good to be playing a FPS with my mouse/keyboard- shooting was much more accurate, the whole experience just felt…well…wrong. I guess it’s just what you’re used to.
