Constant Crashing.

I’ve been playing ET since release day as well as playing the demo since it’s release day, then before that RTCW.

Anyway recently ET has been crashing my system, it locks up and repeats the sound effect that last played and the system needs restarting.

This was really pissing me off as I played ET every day.

I thought it kight be something that had corrupted within my actual system so I reformatted.

I then reinstalled ET and patched it.

The same thing is happening!

What the hell is going on? My ssytem specs havnt changed since I first started playing ET.

Any clues/similar reports?

If you’re running a nVidia card and you updated to the 5x.xx drivers, this would cause your problem. Roll back the drivers or download older versions from the website.

There should be a sticky thread about this issue. I’ve seen it come up here and elsewhere a couple times now.
