Connection Lost

Lately, when I play Enemy Territory for longer than ten minutes, my connection lags a little, then gets cut off completely. It’s not only in the game, since I lose my internet connection everywhere for five minutes or so; I can’t go to any websites or open aim. I don’t think this is problem is caused by the game, but it only appears to happens when I play Enemy Territory. If anyone else has this problem or knows how to solve it, can you help me?

It has gotten to the point where I can’t even load up a map before it crashes. The last time this happened, I opened the console while it was connecting and took a screen shot of it. It said the following:
r_mode is unsafe. Check com_crashed.
r_depthbits is unsafe. Check com_crashed.
r_stencilbits is unsafe. Check com_crashed.
r_stereo is unsafe. Check com_crashed.
r_colorbits is unsafe. Check com_crashed.
r_texturebits is unsafe. Check com_crashed.
r_clampToEdge is unsafe. Check com_crashed.
r_ext_texture_env_add is unsafe. Check com_crashed.
r_nv_fogdist_mode is unsafe. Check com_crashed.
r_ext_texture_filter_anisotropic is unsafe. Check com_crashed.
r_ati_fsaa_samples is unsafe. Check com_crashed.
Then there are around ten more and it ends with
r_glDriver is unsafe. Check com_crashed.
It used to play fine a week or two ago. This only started happening recently. When the game crashes, I lose my internet connection on all the other computers in my house. Does any one know what causes this, or is there any way I can contact Splash Damage about this?

afaik, all those things wich are labeled unsafe, get set back to default after a crash.

If you think your gfx card might be crashing it and you’re using r_picmip 0, try setting it to 0… Other than that… I realy have no idea at all, lets wait until the splashy people show the light :>

:banghead: I don’t think my problem is because of this game any more. I tried playing WolfTactics (a great mod btw ;)) and the same thing happened. I didn’t get an error message, but my connection died for about five minutes. I guess I have to call the damn cable company.
