I’ve heard that this can’t be done, but surely, such a simple few cvars to implement for the developers would’ve been done…
Server admins need the ability to set the number of points needed before people achieve the various levels of XP.
This way, when configuring a stopwatch ladder or competition, the server admin can set up something like:
- It takes 1 point to achieve level 1
- It takes 2 points to achieve level 2
- It takes 3000 points to achieve level 3 or 4
That way, effectively you’re starting everyone on level 2 and they basically won’t get any higher.
This way, you have the advantages of level 2 (faster reloads, extra clip, higher accuracy, etc), but you don’t have to go through 15 minutes of the map to get it.
A lot of people complaining about SW don’t like the fact that the map may be over and some people might still be on level 0 or level 1, and let’s face it, the game is much more fun to play on the higher experience levels.
So if we could start everyone off on level 2 and not let them get any higher, then the playing field is still even and you reward aim and strats, as it should be.
Does anyone know if it can be done, or if it’s planned for any upcoming patch?
Thanks
