some things make me pretty mad, like those two exact arguments. A game being free doesn’t mean it’s not open to criticism (and I have spent $40 on this game), and not being able to make a game yourself doesn’t mean that you can’t criticize it either.

Anyway, this game seems to be fairly CPU dependent. My GPU is coasting and it’s a GT550M. The i52450M 2.5ghz is getting wrecked. This patch didn’t help, unfortunately.

No but it does mean that you can’t draw analogies to things that aren’t free. It doesn’t matter if you chose to spend money or not. If I run up to someone and pay $100 for their shit even though I could have taken it for free can I then complain about the quality of their shit because I paid for it?

Top fighter pilots are unable to tell manufacturers of jets if they function adequately because they themselves have never made one.

The best cricket players, golfers, tennis players, hockey players, football players etc. are all unable to criticize their equipment having never made the equipment themselves.

All film critics are now out of a job because they can no longer assess films due to never making a feature film on their own.

I can no longer critique my ISP for going down or providing inadequate service because I myself haven’t created and run my own ISP.

A free game shouldn’t be criticized by the players, it’s free so obviously the game doesn’t cost anything to upkeep, the devs no longer need salaries, they don’t rely on any money from their players via their in-game store, the game was made as a gift to everyone from the goodness of Splash Damage’s hearts. How dare we give opinions on this game that will surely last without any paying players because it’s completely free.
