Config Question (sort of)

Hello…

been awhile since i played ETQW and now am back into it… - I see that activision has taken over the ETQW forums of old (scary)… it was there were i found alot of info regarding tweaks to ones config to help smooth out the rough edges with ETQW… and i was wondering if anyone could suggest some tweaks for me…

system specs if it helps…

Intel i7-920
Evga ATX X58 mobo
Evga GTX 260 card
6gbs DDR3 1600

if i recall there was, timing methods and threadrendering?? or something like… like i said, its been awhile… so any help would be appreciated…

same rig here (overclocked to 4.4 on water) I first put all the ingame settings to the highest detail and then put this into my auto exec. still toying around with it but its smooth and looks great.

g_fov “120” <--------- You may want to play with different settings here

Whats the point of setting MaxFPS is you use timingMethod 0?

timing method 0 opens the fps…stupid setting…:rolleyes:

timingmethod 1 and set maxfps to 60/90/120 or 150…or you have massive fps drops…

fov 120 …omg… :eek:

i use scripts for that

simple…and you can set this ingame at any server for the best performance

I think I will be going back to that (timingmethod 1 and set maxfps to 150 , where I had it)

Not to bad on my monitor but sux in some areas and situations.

I took most of Cookie’s suggestions, am using timingmethod 1- most stable for me… and fov 110…

looks and runs great…

thinking i need to try those Gamma settings as well… some areas are somewhat dark… that might help…

thanks for the help guys… fun game… just to bad so few play it and there are only a handful of full/ active NA servers…
