Concerns/Solutions: a.k.a What we *DON'T* want in ET:QW.

This game needs to focus on good gameplay over realism. Just like all the other ID games. (and they did well because of the gameplay)

Let the BF games focus on crappy gameplay and more realism. (which did well primarily because of the EA name and advertising)

If you identify yourself with BF2, you’ll fail. People dislike BF2, allot play it simply because there is nothing that they know of to fill its gap. ET:QW can fill that gap, but its not like BF2. This is different. This is Better. This is Enemy Territory : Quake Wars!

(I love that lol… )

Nothing’s wrong with XP system, except Field Op rewards. All other rewards, even LVL1 Heavy, are fairly minor or situational. But Field Op rewards more than double your firepower. It should be +2 artillery shot +2 airstrike bombs, NOT +4 artillery +1 bomb run.

My guess about unlimited sprint is that it’s intended to cripple stealth classes. If everyone’s running like headless chickens, silent movement modes like walk, crawl or crouch+walk become more pointless, because it’s even harder to sneak upon someone silently.
This change means it will be easier to run away than it is now, because shooting players will move at slower speed. Personally I’m fine with this.

Anyone care to inform me of the rationale for getting rid of the sprintbar? What’s the reason for an inexhaustible sprint supply anyway? Wouldn’t I just want to sprint all the time instead of just “simply running”?

BF2 had a limited stamina bar and it was a pain in the a$$, there’s nothing worse than getting shot because you’re player won’t jump or move because he’s out of breath. As I’ve not played ET I can’t compare the two but can’t see any reason why having an inexhaustive sprint would cause any problems but if they do limit it, then stamina should be high.

As for never wanting to do anything other than sprint, there are bound to be times when you’ll just want to walk or simply run rather than sprint for stealth or caution reasons.

Wolf ET’s stamina only limits your ability to sprint, and doesn’t affect normal movement or jumping.

Bigger maps required a different formula, thus sprint as much as you want but you can’t shoot at the same time. This is really basic game play mechanics and I can’t see how bringing in W:ET has anything to do with it. Like everyone said when RTCW whiners complained that W:ET was so different in certain ways; THIS IS NOT RTCW! The same goes for ET:QW and it will bring it’s own tactics and different advantages, not necessarily the same ones as in W:ET.

Funny to see ppl whining even before beta. Splash damage know what they are doing, they created WOLF:ET without all of you "iknowitall!!!"s, so please have faith that QW will be at least as good as WOLF:ET, even without your sometimes stupid opinions.

Steady on - ETQW might be rubbish, and all these people complaining could be right

Activision must not like what you just said Wils.

I just thought I’d say it before someone else did
