[COMPLETE] Unscheduled Maintenance + Update Notes - 8/10/15

Dirty Bomb will be in maintenance at 23:00 UTC on August 10th, 2015, in order to perform a hotfix update. The maintenance is expected to last 3 hours. There will be a client and server update.

When:
London (BST, UTC +1:00): 00:00 - 03:00, August 11th
Los Angeles (PDT, UTC -7:00): 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, August 10th
Sydney (AEST, UTC +10:00): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, August 11th

What:
Fixed an Exploit that allowed players to rapidly gain XP with Aura’s Healing Station.
Fixed an Exploit that allowed players to illegitimately warp to custom locations.
Fixed an Exploit that allowed players to alter their strafe speed.
Additional fixes for some other exploits have been applied.

It’s 10 minutes until downtime. We should know why the game is down, exactly. I’m certain the Aura EXP boost will be fixed.

Aura XP should be fixed. Also they need to fix the lobbies, they’re having a lot of problems in the maps choice and stuff like that. I guess that’s one of the “major” updates

What’s the point of everyone telling what needs to be fixed? This patch is going live now! Nothing to be changed about it. Besides don’t you people think that the devs know about their game’s issue?

Dirty Bomb is their baby, their creation and they want it to be great. Cut them some slack, this is a beta and they’ll get to it. They are the last ones to want to see their game desecrated by cheaters, exploits and bugs. They’re working hard and you should show some respect to what they have done up until now.

Even in its current state the game is awesome and the devs can definitely not be blamed for there being gamers who’d rather cheat hack and exploit the game.

Well, i just hope it is not a 1.5Go of patch just to fix aura bug abuse…
I don’t think an anti cheat stuff will be implemented in a “hotfix”.
Gonna be the teleporting stuff…but i don’t think it work anymore. When i tried, i was killed or backing to the place where i wrote the command. You are going in a black place and when you walk, you go back where you were.

Yep sorry for the vagueness. This is a hot fix so things are coming in hot. Such as update notes. I will post them as soon as humanly possible. The Aura bug is indeed one of the things we’re fixing along with other certain exploits.

You guys should check out the REVIVR gun. It is still buggy (or it seems so).
I mean, I’m literally using the iron sight trying to revive a teammate and I was aiming right in the middle of his body but the laser beam seemed to only go through him.
