Complaints are not for complaining!

I’m tired of getting booted because some whiney little kid filing a complaint because of an accident. They gets all mad like, “You stupid person! This is why I filed…”
And I’m like…are you freakin stupid. Complaints are for kicking tkers, the guys who set out to kill their own team. Not for petty revenge. Especially I hate the noobs who will run over your mines and file, or those that will run into your artillary and go “WTF WHY DID U TK ME!!!”
Theres got to be some way to get rid of the morons, or at least keep them from kicking me or other good players because of accidents or their own stupidity.

Yeah, this is unbelievably annoying. The best solution is to find the best servers and remember them. There are some servers that tend to have decent players. Servers that have a lot of admins are good, too. Generally, if a clan runs a server, any member of that clan will be a referee, so if you see a clan’s pub with like 4 members of the clan on, that’ll be a good server. They’ll take care of the idiots. If you’ve got shitty teammates, just leave and go somewhere else. Trust me, you’ll save yourself a lot of frustration.

The most annoying thing I feel are servers where the people will NOT vote YES to kick a person teamkilling your team. The response I usually get from some jackasses on the other team is “It’s not our problem.”

So why vote no!?

Worse yet… I’m in a server with say 16 people… and only 4 out of the 16 people vote? What’s so difficult about hitting F1 or F2 to get rid of that annoying yellow text?

I know what you mean, complaint abuse is rampant at the moment. Let’s just hope it calms down in time. RTCW did well. At first the complaint abuse was everywhere, but over time the n00bs stopped whining about every little accident and the complaints became restricted to TKers only.

As an example of the amount of abuse at the moment:

Last night I was playing engie and was using the garand w/nade launcher. Because I use that weapon a lot and am pretty good with it, I was killing a lot of people with it. Then a complaint pops up to kick me. It failed because I hadn’t done a single TK all night, but I still aksed “wtf - what have I done?”. His reponse was - “pick a non-n00b weapon you loser”. Then he continued to say “You dont even need to aim with the nade launcher, just click and kill”. It’s madness, he had it in for me because I killed him a few times in a row with nades. It escalated to the point where he said “right, if you’re gonna be a n00b, so am I, - I’m going panzer!”. Like I care less. But anyway, he kills me once with the panzer and says “Ha, I’m owning you with the panzer you noob!”. The guy was one box short of an ammo rack is you ask me. But the fact was he was able to call a vote to kick me. If it was a server full of n00bs I’d have been kicked, as it was it failed by about 2 votes. I know its down to server admins to set voting rights for all players, but a lot of the public servers do have public voting rights in order to get rid of troublesome people.

Well, like I said, let’s hope the idoits find somehwere else to get their kicks.

ive had the same, and i believe pretty much all of us have our fair share of encounters with idiots
one thing that really always comes to my mind is when you get a ‘vote kick’…

ive gotta agree with you on that, actually the text should be in 2x size and in the middle of the goddamn screen
also, i think there should be some kind of “TK count” always when you get killed by own teammate. i mean a count with the message that Who killed you.

Are idiots drawn to me or what? Just had two in one game! First one was your run of the mill, idiot TK’er who got voted off, came back, got voted off, came back, got voted off, ad infinitum.

Second one was even worse. Was a guy who started out playing normally, then when our team was doing badly just started vchat spamming, someone called a vote to mute him which passed, so he took it upon himself to start blocking the exit to the spawn. When this grew tiresome for him, he would drop a satchel charge in spawn, block the doorway until a nice gang of ppl were on the charge then explode it. What a spoilt brat! Just becauise he we weren’t doing very well he has to ruin it for everyone else?

What confuses me is that people seem to vote perversely for kicks. They see a vote to kick a person who’s not been tking anyone, they have no reason to kick them, nobody has said why they should be kicked, and loads of people vote yes! (Sometimes I suspect they see the person is a high scorer on the other team and think “Yeah if they’re kicked it’ll be easier for me” :disgust: )

Then someone calls a vote to kick a tker, says why the vote was called, the tk idiot does not deny he’s a tk, and people vote no! Weird!

In that case I’m usually voting F2 as well

However whenever I call a kick, like for example someone who isn’t moving the entire round or something, I immediately type

idle
unmoving
hasn’t moved all game
taking up space
make room for someone else

right after I call the vote. And that’s for all instances… “tk’er, killed the whole team twice, etc”

Very simple solution if they do stupid shit and file on you 2 times…VOTE TO KICK THEM FIRST. Reason = Being a idiot.

If you don’t like people filing complaints against you then PLAY A DIFFERENT GAME. Preferably single player.
