Community Site For ET

Well guys its probally wrong to ask of you but I Think it might be needed, I have a community site named snowstorm which i put up, It will be based on wolfenstein Enemy Territory and yesh it still needs a few tweeks!

As splash damage is expanding and et is but a small section of the community… I would like to invite you to an all ET Site where you can post more and open stuff about ET and also I have opened more Categorized lists for you to go to for easier access and finding! If there is something missing please tell me in the comments below! I know you like splash damage and I do to, I’m just showing you a site I put up for the community to expand on :slight_smile:

Also I’m still tweaking so more plugins and stuff with be coming! Please even if you won’t stay long leave a membership so if you come back anytime to visit, you can hop on quickly and post your great ET posts!

To Explain the features I have added to keep some fun on the site! ET Rank System based on posts and threads, XP Earing, Upload your own smileys, Notification Display, Recycle bin if you lose something, Simple image uploading, Rate Threads, Spell Checker , better quotes display and many more things! Hope this helps with people and wolfenstein:)

ps: would love to see the mod and map makers on there :slight_smile:

I wasn’t going to comment on this, since I thought it was a cool thing for you to learn with, but since you’re spamming it everywhere…

  • I don’t think it’s a good idea to split the small community that’s left into two sites.
  • It’s hosted by some free board software thing. Seems a bit scary to me, maybe I should just get my tinfoil hat out, but when there’s no product, you are the product. You’re also not making an account for snowboards forums when you register. You’re making an account for their whole system.
  • There have been other sites in the past that did a better job and have gone offline, what’s the garantee that yours won’t? Especially since you’re not actually in complete control of that.

In short for a clan site it’s probably great, but for a site that’s trying to compete with SD, TB, SL, wolffiles,… it’s not very good.
You’d probably have been better off making a subreddit or trying to make the current ET subreddit more active.

Hope you’ve learnt from it though so your next project will be better. (You seem to be firing off one after the other so won’t be long I guess)

Well if i don’t advertise no one will hear about it! I will be active there posting updates daily and many of my friends like the site :slight_smile:

Well… In my opinion, first of all you should contact an webdesigner, which would make it more into 2013… For now it looks like test site of US army in 1990 :rolleyes: … webdesign is basic thing if you want people to check it regulary…
Then maybe choose type of website… there are sites with server monitors, or sites with maps, mods and more downloads etc etc… :slight_smile:
