Community Question: Weapon of Choice

(Mustang) #21

Definitely, bullets hit where you aim, good ads and stroy up is so much fun <3

(badman) #22

Not in the slightest - it happens to be my personal favourite of Brink’s lot. Makes me giggle pretty consistently.

(tokamak) #23

Oh well, I can’t keep a straight face while using it either.

(DSVirus) #24

ET:QW had much better weapons than Brink. It’s hard for me to choose from ET:QW’s weapons. I think I’ll have to go with the Rail gun. So much power and accuracy.

(GoldenApe) #25

My all-time fav. would be ET’s Thompson, for having the same qualities as the MP40, but with -imo- better sound (it has more of a “thud” than a “bang”).

But I’ll take this opportunity to stand up for ETQW’s Machine Pistol as well. The ability to absolutely shred enemies in CQC, even if they were better marksmen with a Lacerator, was just fantastic.

(Dthy) #26

Can’t decide between the GDF Sniper Rifle or Strogg Railgun, both so fun to use but both have their pros and cons.

(UJERebel) #27

Throwing Knife from ET? =)

And thompson

(Thundermuffin) #28

Probably the lacerator, because it was actually pretty accurate, had a nice, controllable recoil, and it was aesthetically pleasing to look at.

(Tandem) #29

Thompson from W:ET,
for it’s accuracy in CQC and long range equally.

Runner up:
GDF Sniper Rifle (ET:QW), for reasons unknown versus the Rail Gun.
I just like it.

3rd place: Sea Eagle (Brink) (before tweak).
With a 15 round clip, deadly.
I think the sidearms were the only thing Brink got right from day one.

(cheezespread) #30

lacerator from Quake wars.

(Nail) #31

1: Thompson, W:ET

2: Sten, W:ET

(amazinglarry) #32

I find myself having to go with the Thompson/MP-40 too. I like being able to hit things I’m aiming at. Imagine that.

(Crytiqal) #33

ET:QW Akimbo pistols

Cause it’s so satisfying owning people with akimbo

(BMXer) #34

MP40 from W:ET.
Lacerator w/ reduced weapon spread in ETQW.
All the weapons are trash in Brink.

(MXF.CN) #35

Sniper Rifle in ETQW - Instant scoping, easier aiming and higher damage than Railgun, sharp shooting sound. I could even rush the hacking objectives with Sniper Rifle

Panzerfaust in W:ET - 5+ kills with 1 shot rocks!

(FireWorks) #36

Knife.

Hyperblaster.

Both very capable of wasting a whole spawnwave but with very different tactics though

The coverts backstab was great and i miss it.

The hyperblaster was just extreme with his pinpoint acc on the first shots killing targets in any distance. God i loved to outflank people with it and then wasting them in no time. Ah good old times…

For AR style the lacerator was a very nice item. High acc and medium RoF, just felt great in almost every situation.

The best passive weapon was the stroyent>health shift. Incredible powerful!!

(Crispy) #37

Mossington. If you’ve ever heard it in 5.1 or above, you’ll know why…

(_KaszpiR_) #38

Oh yeah, ETQW backstab was so satisfying
Nowadays when i play TF2 i constantly get facestabbed. They changed something in the game and it is really annyoing that you make turn and got sliced in the face from the spy.
