not really…we got stopped on the mighty Security Tower.

(Jess Alon) #144

No on Refuel we became juggernauts and pooped all over them.

We were on high and pooped on them.

Like so.

I still feel the mistake we made on Security Tower was not pushing as a group next to Nechayef. Sitting back and sniping across the map just doesn’t get it done. Four or Five guys need to group up, then push right up the ramp to get beside Nechayef. Every time I’ve lost on that ramp, too many guys are trying to snipe from the upper levels near our spawn. It just gives the other team enough time to build up a defense. The key, imo, to ST is to group with buffs on the lower ramp, then make an aggressive push to get Nechy up and moving. Similar to an Engineer Repair, some progress with Nechayef, even if only a few feet is better than none. Sitting back and sniping knocks down the enemy, but doesn’t get Nechy moving.

sec tower is one of those impossible maps.cwhen you play agains a simi decent team (expesially when they have aim bots  )

refuel is still one of those maps where securities spawn is literally 20 meters away from all objectives but the first. that makes it quite a challenge. i have never seen someone shot gun sniping before but it just happened like WTF

Not impossible. Here’s what may have worked better: Form up at the bottom of the ramp behind the glass windows. Make sure everyone has kevlar vests and weapon buffs. That means 2 Engys, 3 Medics, 2 Soldiers, and 1 Operative. Push up the ramp as a group with adrenaline buffs on soldiers who throw flash bangs and try to knock down at least 2 enemy and an Operative to EMP some turrets and mines. Then the rest as a solid cluster, run up get Nechayef walking. The goal is to get him through the gate. So any progress is better than none even if the goal is to get him five feet closer to the gate at a time. Like an Engy Repair. Rinse and repeat. You got 15 minutes to do this. Rather than throwing ourself at the enemy single file and getting wasted.
OR

We could have sent four guys on the flank by the command post to attack the gate level street, which ONLY I did. I set up a turret, but nobody seems to try this route. Sending four soldiers that way and four guys towards Nechayef, thus dividing the enemy’s attention, would work better than what we did, trying to attack the highground wall from our spawn.
Rather than everyone shooting from our spawn area on the 2nd level or trying to attack high ground. By keep forming up below the ramp and setting up a staged attack, I think success on this map would be far more likely.

Me and lago were trying basically lay down covering mortar fire with those lobsters… but everyone was too scared to get in there and move the dude. At one point we cleared that parking lot before the door and no one had him moving. And then when we got into the last leg with the fences the grenades were less accurate and we had no one to protect our flanks while we tried to clear the lot again.

(wolfnemesis75) #149

I know. It is easy to second guess what we were doing. It might be fun to work on some scrimmages where we have a couple staged attacks where we form up even if it is 4 guys, and work out a plan. Like attacking via the Neutral Command post. To at least draw some of the enemy fire. I think if you draw two or three defenders, down them, then leave them down and give the signal to the rest of the team of medics to push to Nechy. Opening up the enemy is one thing, but there has to be a medic near enough to get him moving. Once you get Nechy inside the gate, the map gets a lot easier for Resistance.

??? are you CRAZY? inside the gate is where their spawn is. if he gets knocked down there its game over!

we did make it inside the gate but it took awhile.

The gate is a narrow hallway that is hard for them to defend. Not crazy. The key to map is to get Nechayef inside the gate. I suggest we attack as a group on the street near the neutral command post draw some of their fire. Hey man, if you’ve got ideas, on what we could’ve done different I am all ears, lol!

(wolfnemesis75) #152

I forgot to say: Great games last night, guys. We had some serious 8v8 action!

(nephandys) #153

Definitely good games last night. We’ve got so many people playing now it’s impossible to all get into one and sometimes two parties. I’m shooting to be on tonight for some Brink around 7:30 or 8PM EST, but I’m not sure.

(wolfnemesis75) #154

I will be on around 9pm. I may watch some Hockey though. But, probably not. I’ll look for you!

(Oschino1907) #155

All Ps3 Players looking for full online multiplayer matches not already in the Brink Lobby/Chat - Big Teams Only! or Unofficial Brink Chat hit me up and I or someone else will get you in. Been getting great games together daily and adding new people everyday. Help the Ps3 community grow and bond.

Wolfnemises if you could post a link again that would be cool, on my Ps3 browser and having trouble searching for it. We have been getting a strong group together but most busy playing or on the other forums for Brink. Any support you could lend us Ps3 guys with the Community Game Nights Thread is much appreciated. LOL we arent quite as organized as you guys.

I can’t believe I haven’t added myself to this yet.

XBL GT: SinDonor

I think I’m friends with some of the group already, but anyone else, feel free to add me. I’ve been out of town for a week, but now I am back and itching for some Brink. On that note: Not tonight… Game 7 Stanley Cup!

I will add you to the list. And yes Go Bruins!

(SinDonor) #158

I live in Seattle, surrounded by Canadians and Canuckleheads. Eventhough I like the 'Nux as a team and think the city of Boston has had enough championships over the last decade, I gotta root for the B’s. Last year was a real pain in my azz when Canada beat the USA for the gold. Heard them bragging about it all year. Don’t want another year of Canucks fans bragging about their Cup win.

On a side note: I went to visit some friends in Orlando last week. They’re a married couple that nerds out together, but didn’t pickup Brink. They were scorned by Homefront and didn’t want to try out any new FPS IPs (and just wait for BF3, COD4, and GOW3 instead). So, as thanks for letting me crash at their place for a couple of days, I bought them ONE copy of Brink. They liked it enough to go buy a 2nd copy.

I’ll ask them if it’s OK to add them to this list.

(wolfnemesis75) #159

^Cool! We have good times here
