Does anybody know what the command is to show players hitboxes in game?
I’ve seen screenies where they were shown, so was just wondering how to make them appear…
Command for Hitboxes?
theyre cheat protected.
g_debugbullets x i think, tho the ones often bandied about are by reyalP and i think he wrote a mini-mod for that.
for etpro, to see the head boxes, set b_realhead to 256. also set g_smoothclients to 0 so the head box doesn’t lag too far behind (it still will a bit though).
for other mods, the old fashioned way is to set g_debugbullets to 7.
either way sv_cheats must be 1.
Hmmm, I don’t seem to be able to do a /devmap on ETPro, only etmain, and then only on Oasis
/sv_cheats 1 seems to do nothing unfortunately, only devmap will work.
/g_debugbullets x where x is an odd number gives the same effect, red line is on, even number, it is off.
/cg_marktime 1000000 seems to do nothing
Yeah, I looked around for the hitboxes thing and came across Reyalp’s article. He did make a separate mod so he could take his screenshots. I thought that it would be in etmain to help Splash Damage develop them, just like the debugbullets command, but unfortunately it isn’t.
sv_cheats is read only. It gets set when you use /devmap
Etpub also implemented some antilag and hit debugging stuff, AFAIK. You might want to look in that.
cg_railtrailtime is what controls the g_debugbullets hitboxes. It is in ms.
Problems with devmap are caused by too many files/.pk3s/campaigns. Sometimes loading a map with /map first, and then doing /devmap will work around this. If that fails, clean up your installation.
Ahh brilliant information, thanks Reyalp
Get this problem with ETPro though… guess it just needs a bit of clean up like you say.
BG_IndexForString: unknown token ‘NOT’:

afaik, if you start game in etpro, you should be able to use /devmap, iirc that error is when you don’t start in etpro
That error can happen when you have multiple versions of etpro. Simplest solution is to delete all but one of the etpro.pk3 files, and then extract the .dll files from that. If you want to host local games, you also need to get the etpro qagame.dll, which comes with the full etpro download http://etpro.anime.net/publicbeta/
