If you want to know them all, you oculd do /cvarlist and write it to a text file. You won’t have the description then, of course.
/cmdlist shows all commands you can issue, great for binding stuff.

BTW: Do you really need to know ALL of them? If you don’t set them in your config they simply revert to their default value.

i have a good fix… alot of peopel are still playing with r_picmip2, r_vertexlightning and stuff like that…

a very quick fix to this is…

1 .take ur current config that u wanna clean…make a copy of it… to “myconfig.cfg” (or whatever)…

  1. then u edit your “myconfig.cfg” and removes ALL “seta” (use find replace in wordpad).

  2. then… reset all cvars in ET game… either by deleteting all profiles folders (etmain/etpro etc)…or cvar_reset (i would just delete all profile folders)…

  3. then fire up your fresh/default ET …setup your name and connection as it was first time…

  4. then join a server.

  5. last and most important you “\exec myconfig” …now…all the cvars that the engine doesent understand will not be set… (as before they would be forced to be set by a seta)…the console will even tell you wich vars it doesent understand.

  6. \vid_restart

  7. \writeconfig mycleanconfig.cfg (engine wil again put seta infront of all cvars, which is what we want)

  8. quit, and restart game… (if not all your cvars is set…then exec mycleanconfig.cfg)

voila ! , clean cvars

note: yea jolts list is about the most complete list u’ll get atm

that’s a great way to find those old RTCW relics in your config. one thing to remember though: “writeconfig” won’t write some legitimate cvars unless they were set with “seta” rather than “set”.

off the top of my head: r_intensity and r_mapoverbrightbits.

in other words, use “seta” in your config even though lots of people have claimed it was broken.
