Anyone tried using this weapon, its fun in the original wolf and quite useable but in ET its useless unless you use a cheat script.
In real life you naturally compensate for most of the kick back, if hand guns behaved like in ET in real life I would really be quite miffed!
the handgun in ET is excellent
it seems they improved its accuracy (speculation and wishful thinking) and added the recoil, which makes shooting and aiming more fun imo
the only thing that bothers me is that more often than not you have to press reload multiple times before it actually reloads…
and while we’re on the subject, my SMG accuracy has risen from an average of 30% in RTCW to 40% in ET. How did that happen? If they have in fact improved accuracy and compensated by lowering the rate of fire, than I applaud their decision.

Could you post a demo of you using the handgun, I would be interested to see how accurate you were with it
The hand gun isn’t bad. You just twitch down a tiny bit each time you fire. Quite why they saw the need to add that, I’m not sure.
If you actually know of a ‘cheat script’ you should send it privately to splash or the etbugs email, so they can make sure it doesn’t work in final.
Handguns are wonderful backup because they are less intense to use than the SMGs, this allows for more thoughtful attempts at good headshots. Whenever I see someone standing still in close range, I pull out my pistol regardless of how much SMG ammo I have and pop them in the head. Killing with a pistol is more fun and it conserves ammo :). Ofcourse If I am positive they won’t be moving any time soon, I will go for the backstab.
Pistols are fine, it’s the rifles that need attention.
