Colored names shuffle

Most people with colors in the name play better then white colored names, no bitching about this cuz this is treu, i think colored names shuffle would be better then xp shuffle… just an idea

Even I play with a coloured name and quite frankly I’m shite and I’ve seen this trend in many of the l337 (had to have a bash at the ascii stylee :D) dudes/dudettes out there. By having the coloured name you suddenly feel more windswept and interesting…does bugger all to help my accuracy though.
But hey its a craaazey idea that just might work

During a game last night a new player asked how I put the colors in my name. I spent ages trying to type out “You have to use this thingy ^ and then a digit afterwards. ^1” but it kept getting colored and all. I finally got it after a few minutes and he understood it right away saying hi tons of times with different colors. Half minute later another guy asked, how was that done and I said ask the guy I just explained it to.
Now… The guy I just explained it to say NO dont tell, as i immediatly felt rage and need to beat up a boxing pillow because that kind of behaiviour is jst far out. I just spent a long time explaining him and then he refuses to pass on the knowledge.

OK, I think… I’ll just teach him how to put colors in myself. After a few attepmts I got it again and that little creep started out by saying “f u all” in colors. Now another guy asked and I explained it to him aswell.

Now all I got from the 2 first guys was crap. They flamed us with colored messages and they were being really mean. It really destroyed the game. :((( One of them got kicked because he decided to flame his own mates as we spawned.

I mean WTF is going on"!!! grrr im so pissed off about that. I always try to be friendly and open, but i keep getting a big load of crap directly in my face. I’m sick of it :banghead:

Guys like these had colored names and they were just a bunch of idiots and new players. The XP shuffle works better even thought the XP does not always show who works together with his team.

I usually say that they should visit RtCWFiles.com and search there for Name Animators. I personally hate name spaming (it messes up the console), but these name animators show you how the coloring works (an PB kicks for name spaming on most servers I play).

if you could see in /players who voted NO during the XP shuffle and people knew about this feature - i bet more shuffles would pass…

I have an orange name just because it stands out better, so I can see kills I make (via arty, or something) easier while in limbo or spectating another player.

Coloured names are ok to a degree, but these people with multicolored flashing names in both UpPeR aNd LoWeR cAsE w1tH 1337 5yM80lS 4nD [[[[[[l04dS]]]]]] [[[[0f]]]] [[[[[[[8r4Ck3Ts]]]]]] around them are annoying

Square brackets should be viewed as optional extras, but after many hours of intensive research I can safely say that the improvement in gameplay is slight, but noticeable.
Now if I could get this guy in me ET name we could be talking rocket packs and homing missiles…retreats mumbling back into his box

I dont think coloured names mean ur a good player ,the shuffle would be useless IMO and what happens to the non-coloured names?

newbies usually dont know bout colored names then again crappy quake3 players do. in dutch we just say use a “dakje”. But it’s called a circonflexe i think.
