Long jump zoom is horrible … motion sickness of the dead is back …
And help up on obj is still here, impossible to defuse if your teamate is dead on obj …

First card with a new weapon and a “green dot” for sawbonez and the point is massive you can’t see ****.

A way to disable long jump zoom is more than needed !

And I really hate fighting with some objective text everytime i’m on attack, remove this horrible text in the middle of the screen …

Actually, I totally expected these reactions! But from my point of view, this was the last chance we had to shake up a lot of the game from a balance perspective, as most of our programmers have been focused on back-end stuff rather than gameplay. It’s a bit too early to say in which areas, but we’ll definitely be moving some things back in the other direction.

Only speaking for myself here, but I don’t feel particularly lost, and I’ve only been back on the project from earlier this year. From my POV (which I totally caveat as radically different from all yours as players), is that the direction for the game has not shifted in 2014.

As a dev myself, our reactions are pretty normal :). Customer’s rarely if ever tell you you are doing it right but can’t wait to tell you you are doing it wrong, its human nature :). As for not revealing full details on each patch, there is a ‘golden time’ where the tester is going in blind and you want to see what their reactions are with no pre-conceptions, I find you learn the most from this naive period.

This patch was meant to be a radical step and we were warned :D. For me the nader spam is the biggest issue. In past builds we’ve had two extreme patches then a balance in the middle is found in the next patch, I’m assuming this will happen for abilities.

Not the same from the players point of view who get only few part of the gobal vision.

And please ! Remove this dam objectives text in the middle of the screen ! We can’t see **** !
Or give us an option to remove it for good, with obj icon size that would be perfect

The notes say you will release Balance info in the future? Has it been long enough?

Side Question: Is there a particular gun (or guns) you would like us to focus on using/testing and maybe you could release stats of that gun (or guns) to us? :smiley:

(Normally I just try to find the most OP merc and go crazy but if you are trying to focus testing of new or other guns that players do not use as often I would be more then happy to test with a little incentive of an echo stat chart from time to time)

Can you add a FPS limitation in the menu ? I think 800 FPS is more than needed …

Playing tonight:

Was getting 6 hit by some fast large clip pistol as fragger… 150HP gone… Pistol must have have around 6 - 12 bullets in it…

Got one shot shotgunned twice again as fragger… Insta dead…

The 3 shot AUG has zero fall off damage not sure that is by design…

Again very laggy when people join

Few suggestions:
#1) Get ride of shotguns for awhile and see how the game plays
#2) Give shotgun people 50HP
#3) DO something with Shotguns! In order to balance something they need to shot consistently… You never know if you are going to kill or be killed in one shot or shot… heck you never know how many shots it will take…

Weapon switch is beyond slow! I find myself having mini freak out moments because I thought I click the button but nothing happens! Seriously its like a little heart attack with an muscle twitch of panic… I could be a little panic attack actually… You know you game is not right when I get mini panic attacks!

I would personally make naders nades come out faster or more like real life…

Something is really odd in this update… Like people said TTK is very fast YET I feel less accurate… Aiming feels very random and pushy with the big guns like fragger and thunder… Pushing bullets down range with no control… The 3 shot guns are the same way where you are pressing fire as fast as you can and spamming it…

Again TTK is either to long or too short… Again hard to explain but no fun to play… :rolleyes:

I think its kinda telling that lots of people are saying they are having more trouble hitting things when I think overall most weapons had a reduce in spread. I think its hitting that point where too little spread is going to result in less accuracy.

Thunder with 160hp OK I mean I guess I do not mind it…

Stoker gun and the one that thunder gets is crazy awesome! Did you put it back to 2 patches ago? Crazy accurate! It is how most guns should feel!!! (If you are going to nerf it which I am sure you are but nerf damage or fall off; it feels great!)

I also experience random lag spike with out user join (pix said this in the bug section also)

Green dot gun recoil ok but slow? Green dot goes up and to the right that is it… OK fine I guess but slow recovery…

50% change to time out if leave server to lobby and then try to join another server… Again might be something to do with SLI.

SAW --> ROF up? seems better! Need to test more…

Honestly if you take shotguns out… Put those merc HP back to 100… Give then the green dot scope gun as default and reduced their speed everything might balance…

Yes they have less HP but they are also smaller in size too… give them 100 hp and reduce speed and shelf shotguns… Make the call its going to be to hard to balance…

(Obviously Maps are a huge problem ie Story line, progression and simple creative objective with in the maps)

SW - Spawn timer still an issue… COPY PASTE ET… Not hard and easy fix… Honestly why dont you do this SD???

Still rage doll dead bodies…

Jump is so weird how you bounce off on the second jump…

I still think something is up with player acceleration… When people are standing still and then they move its to quick… Like its faster then I can blink… A person can be afk and line up 2 or 3 hs and they move and the are simple gone its that fast…

All in all aiming feels good… Recoil while Iron-sight is a little strong and random.

Aye…playing last night and a few times I was getting wound up by being one shot killed at all sorts of close to medium distances. I decided to get revenge by changing to Proxy and i’d fire a shot in at relatively close range, only for them to turn around and take me out with a couple of quick smg shots and the message saying they still had something like 35% health left. Completely random

Agreed, although I think something needs to be done now along the lines of dropping her down to 3 nades. Far too easy to get 3 and 4 multikills by spamming

Agreed. As above, i’m feeling the same as I did a few months ago where firefights are totally random and i’ll pour bullets into people and they’re still standing, but they turn around and rip me a new one in the space of a couple of shots.

I think that’s most likely down to be starting off by playing as med and everyone else is playing with Fragger at almost double the health points and a more powerful gun. That being the case i’ve almost given up on teamplay and trying to be useful and now I’ve just decided to get Nader out and spam the hell out of everyone TDM style until the next patch or I get bored enough to quit.

Edit: Forgot to mention … i’ve also started having problems again with HPB’s whereby i’m getting shot when i’m already round a corner and under cover, and also, times where i can see the guy shooting where i was rather than where I am, and I still go down like a sack of spuds. From the last time I mentioned it, I believe that’s a problme with the animation not keeping pace :frowning:

People seem terrified of moving anywhere near the next objective as attackers now for some reason, too many games where i am almost the only one touching the objective at all, for any of the types.
Is this because we cant see when defense is dead now ?

why would one even want to go for the object?
-carryables dont let you shoot. and if you drop it enemy will know your exact location.
-molotovs and strikes are deadly now - so EV is a deathpit.
-everyone is TDM-ing, so if you go for OBJ you are unprotected, thats a 99% death while plant.

Carrying obj is not possible anymore, OK we try, that’s not really fun, please come back to the good old school mechanic with a possibility to drop the milk jug.
