Come play BF4 with me! Yesterday’s patch was a minor improvement. The game will never be any of the Battlefields before it, but It did move more toward being like BF3.

I would only do close combat maps I hate vehicles!
I will keep on with DB or until a new game comes out…
Look at Page TWO hahaha!

Its DB!!! Scheduled for 2015 Release? Even if its December 2015 I do not see it happening…

I normally do DOM or small CQ.
Did anyone receive performance improvements? While others may not notice any… For Real…
Swing and a miss? Please try again…
But seriously please try again sooner then later… Small updates ever week or two tweaking performance would be amazing!
I do not think there should be any reason a game with this design and art shouldnt beable to pump out over 300 frames consistently…
Important
This is going to be a FREE TO PLAY game so remember who the target audience is… Not everyone can have thousand dollar machines to run this game… FREE to PLAY!!! Look at LOL its not very taxing on a computer especially when the settings are turned down… I would put an extreme amount of focus on the minimum system requirements and the ability to pump out a stable 144 frames even while in a fire fight and a bomb going off in a full server… This will be the key to the games success. Along with ranked play, movement, shooting and all that other stuff haha!!
This may sound utterly daft but would it be possible to have a lower FOV than the current minimum? Like 50 or something.
Not daft at all, the previous minimum was 60 horizontal or something, which would be like 36 vertical!
Yeah I’m mainly asking because it would lead to cool recording and screenshotting. If we’re slowly moving towards something where NDA won’t apply then I want low FOV’s available as well.
In ETQW you could record a demo, pause it, free fly to a nice action shot position, use the zoom command then use the jitter command to capture some fantastic depth of field screenshots. I lost them all in a HDD wipe or I’d post some examples.

Uncertain if they’ll be skippable at the moment, but you’ll at the very least be able to bring up the scoreboard/chat window during it. Philosophically I’ve no issue with them being skippable, it just depends on how tricky it is to do.[/QUOTE]
cvar to disable automatically would be nice. I think i can resite all the maps intros off of memorization, they are useless to me now, no need to click another button to skip
Exactly. My old videos are gone as well.
I would love the ETQW functions but even just a record and FOV change would be enough for frag videos.
Ive been playing around in wolfcam lately, have no idea what I’m doing… but making cams is kinda fun.
Can’t find any anywhere! I found the screenshot below from Hannes QW movie, it uses jitter to capture the scene. It looks great.
I wouldn’t say great, reckon it would look even better if taken in HDR then faked DoF in postproc.
That’s not entirely true. The jitter is distance-sensitive, you’re not going to get that field of depth easily any way else. And with easily I mean not having to reconstruct the entire scene from scratch.

Yes I remember his videos, they were pretty awesome.
Have a lot of respect for movie makers with technical know how.
I was playing around with q3mme scripts in wolfcam, and was so out of my depth, decided to just copy and paste. :o

Have you ever used the proper q3mme for Quake 3? Just curious how it compares to wolfcam. Q3mme was fantastic, the control you had was unbelievable. CamTrace for ETQW was very good as well, I wrote a user guide for Hannes to put on his website.
