had this issue a couple of months ago, I created a rule that all the nexon/db stuff doesnt trigger alerts. Was running fine.

I will refrain from really having a go but just a few things that are grinding my gears:

  • PERFORMANCE! I thought a few patches ago we had started to see an improvement in this. I am finding it more unplayable with this patch due to my FPS drops.
  • Shotguns - Getting killed by 1 shot from 20meters away? Really? I have stated how bad I think they are for the game right now. Something seriously needs to change to keep me and several others interested surrounding shotguns.

Love the card unlocking system! I think a lot more can be done with this like make teh rare and super rare ones REALLY stand out to people spectating and people unlocking packs. Take a look at how many streams are on twitch or youtube videos of people opening FIFA packs or CSGO cases.

Quick feedback after not playing for a while:

really hard to see enemies, visibility seems at an all time low
audio seems a bit uh i duno chatoic? It’s just not quite right guns sound like water pistols incoming air strikes are super loud you can’t hear enemy footsteps it’s just a bit all over the place. Maybe just need to adjust to it :stuck_out_tongue:
I’m getting little freezes in gameplay for about 0.7 seconds.
Help up still seems totally useless and should i think just be removed, it will just confuse new players
wall jump + long jump feel quite useless now aswell, maps will have to add in very specific jumps to different paths for them to be of any use
The new spawn system is a bit confusing (altho I’ve only played a few matches) sometimes as an attacker my spawn was 30s and I didn’t understand why?
I like the map changes, waterloo tunnel being open from the start is a good shout although the first half of the map still feels too cluttered.
The trainyard changes are cool but the map is still pretty meh, sorry I can’t be more constructive i’m not a map maker it;s just not that good :stuck_out_tongue:
Haven;t played dome yet but really looking forward to it, i made a post saying i’d love to see a map with 2 split c4 objectives so awesome to see that (better than capture zones :p)
front end UI looks really good as usual
the xp system to unlock mercs seems reallyyy bad, what was wrong with a currency system so that you can ‘buy’ the mercs you want (like in league of legends). Grinding to max level just to play rhino seems horrible?
The card/loadout system seems cool though, being able to mix up guns and perks shouldn;t do any harm and just add customization.
O and gunplay is still really solid now I think, just sort out the maps and we’ll have a decent game i think!

The reason that it might be slightly harder to pick out enemies right now is that we’re currently in the middle of doing a lot of work to improve merc and team identification.

That has meant stripping back some of the systems we had in place so we can work on the core textures and lighting to help mercs pop-out of the environment a little more and accentuate the difference between the two teams.

Once this work is complete we’ll see what else we need to do or re-introduce.

Just want to point out a little bug that I dont know how to verbalise really so will just do it here…

When you are in ironsights and you shoot then come out of ironsights as the animation is happening… it magnifys the animation in hipfire. Makes sniping and shotgun quick scopes really juddery

After a few games:

Audio

  • Love the new sounds added
  • New commander voice is disappointing: no fun in it, way too close to TF2

Maps

  • I like the darker ambiance, adds to it imo
  • Not a fan of the new carry objective in Trainyard, this objective makes no sense to me
  • WC is still pretty much the same, working but just ok
  • Bridge is Bridge lol

Weapons

  • I can’t get used to the range of the knife. It’s too short imo and I cannot get quick gibs with it
  • Sawbonez pistol feels weak with the clip reduction
  • Proxy’s shotgun is really OP and still shows signs of inconsistency with different ranges
  • Aura’s shotgun is a rage machine, make it like Proxy’s
  • Machine pistols have a good feel, I like them
  • MGs seem a little too weak in damage output now (tiny bit)

Mercs

  • The help up seems harder to achieve now, which is good
  • Nader doesn’t feel like a lvl 3 merc, should be harder to get her

General

  • UI improvements are great !
  • Love new new loading screen arts and explanations with the map
  • Feel like I don’t have time to react when I’m getting shot at, I just die
  • Can’t understand the action, lack of combat awareness that I’m feeling there was previously
  • Seems like with every new patch I have to lower my mouse sensitivity in game (wut ?)
  • Jumping, wall jumping and long jumping around seem fine now
  • Performance is holding on, no big change on my config
  • Feels aweful to see a guy kill you in 2 bullets when he did pull 5 through your brain in reality … sync ?
  • Vertical FOV is a win !

Improvement ideas

  • Add the knife to the mouse wheel rotation
  • Add back the chapel in WC, even as a free roaming place (or side objective)
  • Very bright skins for the enemies

Will test it more extensively in the upcoming days, will get more feedback then.

I am getting much better hit feedback and what seems to be hit register this patch.

It feels like headshots are crazy rewarding now but in some cases still frustratingly hard to get especially in a RLRL battle.

It feels like the skill ceiling was raised a little… We had 16 people in a server and the top players were getting 25 to 35 kills an OBJ round where people that I have seen do well before really dropped off… It was very interesting to see…

Give me a red dot and I will destroy!!! No joke with the game set up the way it is…

As for performance it was very interesting… Only say a major improvement on that sewer map. Every thing else was blaa sitting at 100 fps which is not cool…

  • Also got mouse lag on the same spot “twice” on the double train blow up map. Up top by the MG and enemy spawn in the little corner. Its like my mouse didnt want to turn into that chubby.

Cant wait to play more tonight!

What do you mean by red dot? I’ve heard this mentioned a couple of times and i’m using what I call a red dot already :confused:


This is a screenshot of some graphical corruption I got the other night. Cured now after a driver update. Is this the red dot you mean? If so, I just set it in the menu with the rgb sliders

He’s talking a Red Dot Sight attached to the gun, instead of an Iron Sight. These are something we have in the pipeline to add to the game but it’ll be some time away.

Performance will be worse playing on a server with 16 players than one with 12, as we didn’t have 16 players public servers in the last patch this may be the cause, try playing on a 12 player server and let us know if you still think the performance is worse than the previous patch.

Drop in performance, regardless of player count for me. Had some harsh frame rate skipping on top of it all that appeared to hit randomly. Doesn’t feel like anything major really changed (coming off month++ of not playing). Augments are an interesting idea, but was hoping for a deeper merc meta than minimal perks. Overall I couldn’t find enough significance in the update to be excited.

16 players is way more fun to me. London Bridge was finally enjoyable. More players means it makes more sense to go out of your way and lock down routes further down the path. I finally had the idea I was playing strategically.

Agree it was a ton of fun with 18 to 16 ppl… If you could get around 3 or 4 ppl you can backrage or spawn kill!
