It’s still being worked on but it’s a very complex system to build. When it’s a bit further along we’ll give you a proper update

That’s completely fine in you feel that way, many will. With that said, there are plenty of people who will thoroughly enjoy MM. I myself will play a bit of both, depending on my mood.

The server browser is still there (in fact, it has been improved with this update), no need to feel sad :).

Word! Cups, tournaments, exhibition matches and the likes will most likely be scheduled on set servers with passwords like the good old days anyway. MM is good for longevity and also getting more people into the competitive scene. Not only that but it can also be a nice change of pace from the public servers as well.

And it’ definately not unnecessary or useless, without it, DB will have absolutely NO chance.

Agreed that matchmaking is generally a good thing, not least so that new players don’t get put off by landing in a game full of veterans.

Looking forward to trying the new setup, though the rubber banding spawnwave system doesn’t fill me with a lot of confidence. Dynamically changing spawntimes on stopwatch should be avoided if you dont want to have some folk screaming foul.

actually you can connect to a server, but look like there is no user imput. You can’t move or press esc. only the console is working.
I think that’s the reason of the delayed maintenance.

Thanks Exedore, just re-read and saw it’s listed under Objective Mode. Dont think anyone has played objective mode for months so I guess I’m more interested in knowing what’s been done to fix the problem in Stopwatch?

Not for this one. We want to take a look at the update in the wild before bringing more people back ;).

As in, the launcher won’t open, or it won’t launch the game? We’re still under maintenance at the moment, so it’s ok if it won’t launch the game.

Won’t launch at all. Just installed it for the first time on this install of Windows. Tried to run and it didn’t work. Tried a reinstall and a reboot and still nothing :frowning:

It of course hasn’t solved all the issues, but it definitely has helped. We need to continue with the work outlined in my maps blog post to address the problems at their roots.
