hey if someone like sock could awnser this be mucho appreciated…

I run on a lan and have parties and have had tons of issues with getting everyone on and staying on…

Cd key error weird errors when kicked and get back on to play for 15 mins and get kicked again and other general connectiivty errors.

inelagable server messgs etc…

will these be fixed with the server patch or will u guys be releasing another client patch to handle these problems…

also then i hear rumors of another campaign half finished? is this true do u have any other campaigns in the making or are u guys looking to outsource several campaigns to other groups to get more offiacial maps out the door 6 just isn’t enough lol…

whats the intel hoss?

just before u reply i have found these fixes that other peeps used like regen teh cd key doesnt work says the cd key is already their and i can’t find what file it is to delete to try again.

also on the kicks in game they same to change my netport that didn’t work either…

their needs to be something done about this issues if u intend for the game to stay on my machines nothing could be better a free ver for lan parties but problem is i throw alot of lan parties and it doens’t run on lans well at all…

hope u guys have something in the works to fix these issues…

might be worth testing to see if its ok when you set
pb_sv_guidrelax 1
on the server. not reccomended for internet publics btw since i guess it will give you trouble controlling players (banngin etc). i havent tried out this setting myself at all though…

this fix from lekdevil.nl worked for me for lan games.

  • new pb_sv_lanmask setting defaults to “”; this setting tells PB that players who connect with an IP address matching the specified value are connecting from a local LAN (without setting this properly, LAN players may get a “CDKey in use at different IP Address” message upon attempting to connect); For example, if the LAN IP Address of the Server is 192.168.1.1, then issue /pb_sv_lanmask 192.168.1

ET badly needs a central FAQ (or is there one already?). I know I’m going to need Johnny’s nugget at some point, but I won’t be able to find it again…
