Another game I haven’t known so far.
Frontlines: Fuel of War (BF1942:Desert Combat creators)

Seems that this autumn / winter / spring future sceneries are the latest fashion.

BTW I don’t like these semi realistic western “humans” against eastern “humans” not that much.
It’s too near at reality.
Other game related problem:
It’s harder to distinguish friend or foe.

I hate the bouncy jump around like a super hero gameplay requires minimal skill

UT has asymetric team, ive read teh vehicles are different in each team, so i guess other stuff as well.

What I miss: (option: (answers)BF2;ETQW;UT2007

I think gaining speed and maintaining it while shooting at enemies in an arcade shooter like UT or Q3 requires much more skill then just proning and firing short bursts at a slow moving enemy in any “tactical realism shooter.”
Though the UT movement is horrible :stuck_out_tongue:

In a game where your enemy has the same abilities as you, it requries skill to beat him, end of story.

The moderator of the EA thread at uk, then the poll results, where all people wants to buy ETQW in place of other 3D Games, wants to publicity the BF2142 game, he says at an image:

I’ve had fun with UT (I own all Unreal Games), but one thing really bugs me about the game - all the flashy gun effects. It is so easy to lose track of an enemy on the screen simply because your super-bright projectiles clutter the view like the screen spam generated by the Link gun.

I really hope Quake Wars (Strogg) weapons don’t give the same effect of making it hard to see things because of their bright shiny projectiles.

“Team Fortress 2” is also on the way (yesterdays IRC conversation @ Splashdamage).
It’s coming together with “HL2:Episode 2”.
Not sure if there will be vehicles.
But there won’t be tapirs for sure :smiley: .

Looks interesting, but I doubt we’ll see it any time soon.
TF2 comes with HL2:Ep2 and they are releasing Ep2 simultaneously on PC, X360 and PS3

well…yeah. Valve said Ep2 comes about 6 months after Ep1, and Ep1 was released on 1st of June.
