They deleted the post because ChiCG isn’t even a member with them. They looked into it privately and PMed me. So no problem there and would have nothing to do with the auto MBL or any ban list but they own.
auto MBL info: Don’t have to worry about lame server admins with the MBL at least.

Here are a couple of things in the mean time for you to consider.

Mannual bans done on a server by an admin, are not part of the AMBL system at PunksBusted. Those bans are local to that server only. We use only PB generated detections from the spooled logs using the Auto-mbl system. We no longer accept manual log submissions.

No screenshots posted on the forum are added to the MBL. We have rules on submitting screenshots for official review, before any consideration to be added to the MBL happens. Same goes for demos. Review requires a high level of certainty that a cheat was used before it gets added to the mbl. It’s not added if there are doubts. (Except for human error of course but that is covered by item 3 below).

There is an appeals process if someone thinks there is a mistake that they were added to the MBL. Obviously evidence to indicate a mistake is required.

Any member admin that is found to purposely falsify logs, screenshots or information to us will be removed from membership and a statement released.
Note: As this is a registered commercial opperation with financial considerations, a person submitting may also be challenged with ‘abuse of service’ to their ISP and/or hosting company under their TOS agreement.

They did say this reguarding the alleged hack…lol. Nothing we didn’t already know.
[i]I saw the SS’s and I didn’t see anything to suggest a wall hack. A little bright, but again not as bright as ‘brightness’ cheats I’ve seen and objects that would get over brightened by most of these hacks were not obvious in this shot. It just looked like cvar settings and those can be checked by the server and limited if desired and set correctly. A cvar would only be a local ban and not an MBL candidate anyway.
Those screenshots would not be accepted as showing a cheat here at PunksBusted. They would not make the ‘conclusive’ requirements we have.[/i]
Anyway… as i said…i’ve never played there and doubt anyone cares their banned. More about ridiculing them for being so stupid more then once…and giving a heads up to real players to stay clear.
I may go there aliased when i need a feeding sometime…lol

Just one more post for completeness. I noticed that some of those ChiCG admins claimed that the PB screenshots would not show the same kind of brightness as the player sees on his screen or which is shown through in-game screenshots. Case in point:
Well, I just recreated the same Goldrush scene again with the same brightness settings and took some PB screenshots. Here’s what it looks like:
As you can see, the brightness is identical to the in-game screenshots I posted above. I think mr. ItchyBalsak can start cooking his crow…
(BTW: careful analysis of the PB capture parameters and framing showed that the original screen was running at r_mode 4 rather than r_mode 2; this only changes the screen resolution and doesn’t alter the brightness levels, of course).

It is true that what a screenshot (or pb screen), compared to what you see in game depends on your video card, drivers, and settings. For example, with hardware gamma, screens tend to look much darker in screenshots than they do in game. I suspect that ItchBalsak has only seen one of these situations, and simply assumed it was true in all cases.

I think I would like to formally thank Ifruita and others who posted for trying to clear up this unfortunate situation. They went out of their way to offer the information they posessed about the situation to the admins on the forums. In the end, it’s the admin’s decision. (Be it right, or in this case of banning, wrong) I think everyone here knows the level credibility and expertise (or lack thereof) of this ChiCG admin, and they will undoubtebly suffer a loss in their client quality in the future.
Hats off to everyone who tried to bring out the right in this misunderstanding

lol… Thanks for going to the trouble of doing the PB shot and the comparisions. I guarantee they’ll still have an excuse. They’re not honorable and live in their own little world banning players that are to good for them. They couldn’t play out in the ET community amounst other players because they’d feel inadequate. Of course there will always be sheep that flock to a server like that…buts thats fine… it keeps some noobs off other servers. They obviously don’t care what ramifications banning players under false hack accusations could cause and if they’re to lame to apoligize… whatever. Shows what their made of …as it shows what their made of acting like children now over in their new little forum they made. :blah:
Its fun owning these types on and off the server.

I tried the server a month ago, and had to download 150 MB (mostly custom maps that I already had, but they put them all in their own pk3s).

I don’t think that they set up there campaigns like that anymore. I think it’s just one map objective with xp save on so you only have to download one map at a time.

Ok, iv had my times playing counter strike. Iv seen hacks that do the works. 12 Types of wall hacks, Brightness hacks (its like r_fullbright 1, it removes all shadows), aim bots ect ect.
There is NOTHING in those shots that means hacks. As proved earlier the name through a wall is a bug. When you move after having your cursor on a team mate it stays for a few seconds. If he simply turned around it would still be printed. Admins should gather REAL proof before banning some one for “hacking”. Its a great injustice and it ruined the players Name/Clan rep!

The ban is not the issue. I couldn’t care less if I ever see the Chicg server again. The issue is that they publicly accused one of ours as a cheat without any reason to do so. Then, when I posted very politely asking them to review their decision because they had obviously been mistaken, they started deleting my posts and posting a bunch of nonsense.
They can ban our whole squad for all I care, but they should apologize for making false accusations in a public forum. They know they were wrong, they just don’t have the balls to admit it!

(PmR) is boycotting the Chigc server as they unrighteously banned our man GusBlackBox aka Crossdout. Banned is one thing, but when you politely inquire on their forum as to the reason for the ban and don’t get an answer except bs admin comments and locked threads, it is infuriating. Oh and don’t be surprised if they have to reload the forum software, seems like when things get too controversial, the forum gets a facelift.
My theory as to why assholes like SuperDug are still running rampant as admins on chigc is that they are paying Abnix $ for server support, blow jobs, massages, etc. It’s only a theory, but it’s the only conclusion I can fathom as to why superdug is still an admin on Chigc.
