Checking server status...

Is it possible to determine whether the id server (or wherever the server list is maintained) is up and running? I haven’t been able to get a server list today (running 1.02).

Ja! But is there a way to check the master server status? All-Seeing-Crap is still up and running but I prefer the in-game server list (believe it or not).

How long until it is up and running this has happened a few other times and I as well am lost as to how to check.

Since it’s replying to pings I don’t see any other way to determine if it’s up than to try to retrieve a server list. Doing it in Pathfinder may be a bit quicker than starting ET though.

But if you use All-Seeing Eye you don’t need to worry about the id master server. :smiley:

That’s what I was wondering…if there’s another way. What’s the address to ping (one of the addresses that pops up in the console at startup I’d guess)? I still prefer the in-game server list (my 1.2 GHz puts up a fight sometimes).

The in game server list works 99% of the time,so no big problem.

seems to be not working for a lot of people for several days now though? :eek2:

dont ask me tbh, i’ve never used the ingame browser.

edit: digibob says etmaster is having some issues which are being looked into. er words to that effect anyway :slight_smile:
