@Kroad I am not certain you read what I typed closely.
Cheaters?
Just saw my first encounter with a blatant cheater. I didn’t know how to record but it was so obvious, whole server was in agreement.
Specced him and saw him walk to enemy spawn and head shot whole team. More than once.
Not cool man, needs to be fixed sharpish.
You want to see a real cheater ?
Check guy with name RoCkInG. He joined around 10s after the clip starts and he begin to kill ppl in 0:50s.
sweet hax
@“Fake nick” WAIT YOU CAN MAKE THE GRAPHICS SIMPLIER? TELL ME YOUR SECRETSSSSS! Also I noticed that the guy in the video also quickly changes his name by killing the person he kills, like a spy
@cosmopolitanSponge No secrets. You can find everything here: http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/1026/tweaking-dirty-bomb-config
@“Fake nick” I was trying to do that and it didn’t work out as well as I thought >.< I think I did something wrong, probably cause I am not good at following instructions
Yeah just seen
You want to see a real cheater ?

That’s the guy I saw.
Just saw another/the same guy with the name change thing too.
Sad shit man.
This is getting fucking retarded. 3rd cheater during this beta, i have my suspicions for another 3. Xigncode3 is useless right now.
@“Fake nick” I still don’t know how to make it look like yours… >.< I have windows 8… I have my backup .ini file on my desktop… not sure where else to put it… copied and pasted the 2nd one… made it as read only… ehhhh…
first they need to make your game name permanent and tied to your email/ steam/ account. also only one person to use one name / account. make it against the rules to let more than one person use that name (so no QQ later that “my little bro wa wa…”) make the only way to name change like 10 bucks and it needs to go thru the game admin.
ban is on name attached to email/ steam/ account. if it costs $$$ to get back into the game after a ban it might make some hackers lose interest pretty fast
I met a vasili who always jump shot and headshot everyone on my team, it was ridiculous. I would like to think he’s very good, but he always headshot while jumping with a sniper.
You’re way too pa
I met a vasili who always jump shot and headshot everyone on my team, it was ridiculous. I would like to think he’s very good, but he always headshot while jumping with a sniper.
I haven’t played vasili much, but the few times I did I felt like there’s absolutely no spread whilst zoomed in. Jump and strafe shots are near to 100% accurate, very easy to accomplish too as people tend not to notice you too much, jumping behind cover to peek.
Either way people are too paranoid, really. If someone’s going to be cheating in a beta they’ll do it in the most obnoxious and obvious way as some of these videos already provided. Someone getting a “weird” headshot on you is most likely just what it is, a good shot or lucky or a combination of both. Also, never forget the… very very favoring antilag they’ve got going on, that may just make things seem weird from your POV.
there’s no hack that comes with a big “change ip and mac address” button that just needs to be pressed and everything gets instantly changed with no consequence
I’ve seen hack forums post tutorials on how to change mac address and ip, but it doesn’t come packaged with the hack and does take quite a bit of effort.
What’s the recommended course of action, when running into cheaters?
I have a good reason to believe that I just played against one, although I can’t say it with 100% certainty.
He was named simply “sapphire” which brings up another issue, being able to change names at any time.
People using generic names like that, are hard to track down, at least so long as steam doesn’t properly track the people you recently played with on DB.
Anyway, this dude joined mid game, and fairly soon he was at the top of his team’s scoreboard.
I wouldn’t think much of that alone, but I recorded this super shady kill by him.
I don’t see anything shady about the kill obviously you need to Learn how to play the Game. Please don’t falsely accuse another player without proper proof. Go get some solid proof then come back

Way to ignore all previous posts and post a shitty opinion that contributes nothing to the convo.

But this would change in a heartbeat as soon as a big game starts banning this way. The cheat developers will do anything to make their paying clients happy and keep them subscribed.
Of course IP and hardware banning are two very different things. Hardware banning is the one that’s easy to hack, IP banning has other issues which have already been mentioned. E.g. you can forget about banning any German user that way, as they practically all have dynamic IPs.
I’ve seen some seriously shady players, but even still, there is always the chance that they are legitimate, never discount that.
@steamingIntern your post probably isn’t specifically aimed at me, but I’ll point out that I’m one of the most falsely accused players on one other shooty game, so I know about that stuff.
I can’t prove that this guy in my video was cheating, just like you guys can’t be sure that he’s legit.
Surprisingly many seem to be, though.
Either way, this thread has run it’s course, and I’d rather see it locked.
I learned some things, though, so it wasn’t in vain.

I agree on this the first thing is making a permanent name you cant report a player that changes hes name after every game.
