Cheat Prevention Efforts

Hey guys!

We know that hacking has been a hot topic lately. Just want to let you know it’s a top priority and we are all working together to make sure all offenders are dealt with. We’ve already banned several cheaters from the game, we have GM’s monitoring live games and we are also investigating reports. In order to keep ahead of the curve, we’re working daily to improve our anticheat program so that new malicious programs will be automatically detected and kicked out of the game. If you’re in-game with someone you suspect is hacking, you can also use the Vote Kick feature (F5) so you can continue fragging on in your merry way.

I am happy to see you are taking action early. Once hackers take root in a beta that’s usually a death sentence for the growing population.

I wouldn’t call changing a .jpg much improvement, it still kicks more legit players than hackers, the hackers get kicked when reported only, imo

just fyi the vote kick is either not working or no one votes because typically like 2-4 people vote and it usually fails. As said in other threads the vote option needs to be larger, centered and very obvious such as with audio cue such as the bell tone it had in Wolf

Thanks for all the feedback on this guys. We definitely need to make the vote kick easier to use/see and I would like to see an in-game report function ASAP.

We also need the vote option to not affect our ability to select weapons.

Currently when a vote is called we need to use either ‘1’ or ‘2’ to vote, and until we do we can’t select our knives (‘3’) or artillery designators (‘4’), or whatever.

Could the votes use the F keys rather? I dunno.

if i’m always streaming this while i play because why not then would there be any point linking you to a highlight of something if something super obvious happens or is this getting a bit too big for you to be looking at stuff on a case by case basis as the community throw it out?

I mean obvious stuff like one match I had yesterday where two level 4 guys zoomed to the objectives and headshot all seven of us within two seconds and things, not like ‘this guy has a triggggeeerrrrrrrrrrr’ shit

Efforts not working, 5 servers today, 2 most obvious cheaters. Kickvoting also not working, and not even an ingame-reportsystem, so…
Seems the dryouknowwhat.com guy (yea, this one, but no name-calling, eh…) yesterday did some good pr. So I hope the next update will be some working anticheat for this 10 year old engine, where everything from wh to satnav seems to be availible, probably even cupholders.
Especially with the new customers, err beta-testers from the alienware key-giveaway, to spread the word on how they like the game or not, i really hope you get on it, before the game gets as hackflooded like et.

How many updates we had by now and still no improvments for anticheat system or vote kick- really sad! Now i just w8 for ppl to reply with - u know, every fps has cheaters= but atleast their devs try to improve it as soon as posible.

Today was pretty bad. I found 2 hackers that followed me everywhere.
I dont know where to leave hacker reports but im just gonna put em’ here.

Im wondering why you aren’t implementing VAC for this game considering how this game is now on steam and all and VAC supports unreal engine games ? It’s not a homerun anticheat but at least it does a good job of banning public hacks.

well I am a new to the game and it seems like every game there is a hacker? I understand that this is a beta game but dam I am getting wall hacks aimbots and so forth it seems to me just like another cod or black ops! And so you want us to buy into this game not likely going to happen for me! I will keep the game in my game selection but will not play until maybe a GM gets back and says well they fixed the hack problem hahahahahahahaha that will not happen… so in my opinion of the game, it has its fun factor but with the hackers it is already done goodbye.

blatant hacker in game this evening saying he was being paid to test hacks in game… would really like to see some info from Xigncode about what they are doing or what is planned soon
