Here some screens of the new scope from Chaos-Mod.
The Scope Pictures is currently now from Tce (thx for borrow it, i am now to lazy to create a own. but i will make my own :slight_smile: )

Hm.
I don’t really like it. The real scope part is too small. What is the improvement of a smaller scope compared to a larger one?
It also is very unrealistic that you see the surroundings of the scope. That’s just impossible.
Well, the lens flare. Nice little adjustment. I haven’t got a clue of sniper scopes but I think the effect of the lens flare is far too exaggerated and I don’t think that a light bulb creates a lens flare. Also I think the lens flare is pretty disturbing. Bad for concentrating on the perfect moment to give your target a clear head shot.

Could you just name the improvements/advantages which that scope brings with it? because in my opinion this scope is just changed that there is something changed. Just don’t take the original one. Show’em that you got something different. No matter if it is better or not.
That’s the impression I get.

If I see right the complete screen is zoomed not only the part of the scope or somehow deformed in a certain way. What’s the deal of that?

It is larger. You got a better overview. Just perfect.

That one is tiny. Too many disturbing factors and unrealistic.

That’s my impression. Sorry if it may seem harsh (what it definitely will). This post isn’t supposed to be a flamer post. Take it as serious critics.

Maybe a good solution would be adding kind of a fog or shadow outside the scope? Thats my idea:

Make the scope larger, so that you cant see so much around it.

@ Infinitypl123: Thx for these realy cool idea. i can only add the darker version, then the original et cant make blur effects. :slight_smile: but it realy looks cool ^^

Wrong. My dad is a (animal xD) hunter. so i have shootet too. and when i look through a scope, then i see a little arround the scope. its more like Infinitypl123 screen with blur effect :stuck_out_tongue: Bäääh xD

Ok, the lensflare effects is now more on the alpha stage. i will add more variabels like cg_coronafardist. Give me more time, i will make a better version :slight_smile:

Dont forgett: These is the Chaos-Mod. I will change the gameplay a little. I wish a little realismus+fun. not how cqb with more realismus as fun. And i wish these fk scope a long time ago xD But thx for the critic.

current way of showing scope looks like using acog attachement in cod series :wink:
personally i’d prefer the way it was… full black screen with circle in the middle showing zoomed part. try to keep it a bit realistic please.

to be honest, i can understand that kind of behaviour, that you have fun with this kind of stuff, replacing pics and stuff…

but…that whole approach to modding in general is gotta be one of the poorest and most uncreative ones i have ever seen in my life. dude, this is modding, you are free to do almost everything you like, but instead you focus on replacing pics and shaders. dont you have any idea on your own ? this is so sad :frowning: also all your work in the past basically was downloading mods and stealing ideas from them (your chaos mod is a perfect example of that), no creativity at all.

also it nearly shocks me to see that kind of participation by the community, making such a trivial thing a source of discussion, talking about how to replace a pic, i lold. comon is this really your state of mind. THIS IS GOTTA BE A JOKE…and even its an old one, i still cant decide weather i should laugh or cry …
