changing refresh rate

my default refresh rate is 85hz.
every time i get in the game it changes to 60hz, and even when i quit the game it doesnt change back to 85hz.
i have a radeon 9800 not-pro if that matters…

r_displayRefresh “85”

might do it. If that doesn’t, maybe there is some option in your display properties.

nVidia Props can force Rates and set ones irreguarly.

Ingame can be done via the command above providing your property rates are equal/matcing.

Use different resolutions in game and desktop. I play in 12801024 and work in 1024768 (17’’ CRT). When I leave the game, it switches back to 1024*768@100Hz

Any justification why we should use 2 different ones? :slight_smile:

Whats wrong with say both @ 100hz in/out or both at 85 in/out?
