/cg_shadows 0 doesnt make my shadows go away from buildings and trees in ET.
Maybe this command only works for RTCW? if so… how can i make the shadows go away? :disgust:

that’s something different, you want to remove the lightmap r_lightmap <1/0> I think, but ET works different, some textures will be removed also I think

Hmm i tried that one but it says: r_lightmap is cheat protected :eek:
The shadows are making my screen dark i hope i can still remove them… somebody knows how? :notworthy:
I think the “shadows” you are talking about are just darker textures. To brighten up the maps try -
r_intensity 1.5
r_mapoverbrightbits 3
and if its still not bright enough try increasing r_gamma a bit
cg_shadows only affects dynamic shadows (i.e. player shadows). It won’t remove the precompiled shadows on world geometry as these are baked into the lightmap data.
OMG …theres a shadow on the terrain, walls, and floor…i can’t see …i can’t see. How can i remove the shadows because i get owned with them and it seems to much like real life. Players hide in them and scare me when they jump out. At home i have a light in every corner and carry a flashlight with me everywhere i go. I’m lame and need everything overbright so i can get at least one kill and see into every corner…please noooo shadows.

r_lightmap 1 shows you ONLY the lightmaps. It doesn’t remove shadows, it removes all the other textures. r_lightmap 0 (the default) is normal rendering. And yes, it is cheat protected.
yeah i think so. Prob a Resurrection trilogy for campaign. Port the existing map over with some changes for ET and do 2 others. I was gonna do it for RTCW… got lazy though. :disgust:
