CD key error PLease Help

:disgust: I just got DSL and i hooked it up to see if it is better than my Cable. I loged on to play ET online fine and found out it seems I had better pings using my cable than DSL. SO i exited the game and pluged back into my cable modem. So then I log on to play ET online now and every time I try to get into a server it says My CDkey is inuse with another IP and I can not play… Anyone know how to fix this ??? :???:

Yea I waited about 10 mins and It was fine. if it happens again I will try the .key file so i do not have to wait

i got this error too… The only way i could fix it is by doing the following:

  1. Start ET
  2. Go to the find a server screen
  3. Hit the disable punkbuster button in the lower-right hand corner
  4. Exit ET
  5. Re-start ET
  6. Go back to the find a server screen
  7. Enable punkbuster
  8. Try joining the server of your choice

This usually gets rid of the CD-key error because your ip is stored in punkbuster.

If this doesn’t work the only 100 percent guaranteed method is to re-install ET. (this works because i did this 2 times before i found out about the above method)

ive had this and other clan m8`s
i found the eayist way to overcome this is to goto where u installed enemy territory and remove the file “etkey” then load ET and carry on as normal…

true if it relases it, but some ppl i have known it last over 1 hour !

well in any case those who are having a problem with this issue now have 3 methods to resolve it. I think that should be enough to get them back in the game and fragging. =)
