When they said boosters increase the chances to get an even case, they just forgot to tell the public that “increase” in this case actually means “reduce”. That’s why everyone is so confused. Working as intended.

With all the heart-burn over past event drop-rates, it’s amazing they would botch the handling of this one.

My humble conclusion: Either they told us a lie, or they’re bugged as heck and they lied aswell when they said: “They were tested and are working”.
I still don’t buy same drop rates while people play ten, twenty and plus games without a case.
Same drop rate as normal cases mean: One. Damn. 100%. Case. Every. Now. And. Then. Frequently.
Inb4 only 30% of boosters have a 30% chance to activate a 30% chance event where a normal case can become a 100% case for 30% and we all just understood it wrong.

It doesn’t really mean anything more than it meant over the weekend. Exedore said on reddit that they heard us on this issue and looked at it before the weekend, and didn’t see anything wrong. I imagine after the outcry of the weekend perhaps another look will be taken, but until we hear otherwise they haven’t even said there is something to fix.

This isn’t me saying it’s not broken, since I’m sat here with 5 boosters, a bunch of play time and no cases - but step one here is getting acknowledgement that something is amiss. I’m not especially hopeful that this will be attributed to anything more than terrible luck for “some people”.

I do not have an estimate on this, or whether or not it is “broken”, I am just contacting the right people who can look into it. If there are any updates I’ll be sure to let people know.

Sorry about the delay in this, when I first saw the thread I thought it might just be 1-2, maybe 3 people with really bad RNG (it happens!) but as we see more evidence it seems like something may be off.

Making a whole new player model is a WHOLE whole lot more work than making a texture.
You have to model the low poly mesh, unwrap its UVs, rig it to the skeleton, make the high poly and then bake that down onto the low poly. And do that all to the honestly pretty high quality levels of DBs player models, its a large chunk of work, not comparable to texture edits, at all.

If i can pop into blender and make and rig a character and give it a custom skeleton in about or 5 hours im SURE a team of people can make a team of mercs in a week
