Cant run W:ET 2.60d in leaopard

(iamajfunk) #1

I attempt to run the game, the console loads as normal, then i hear a rapid “thumping” sound for about 30 seconds. After that, an error appears telling me WolfET crashed. Any suggestions?

P.S. - I have a windows partition on the same machine and i run WolfET on there with no issues.

System:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz
3GB DDR2 RAM
160GB HDD
Mac OS X Version 10.5.2

Works for me. This was with a clean 2.60d install, and it went right into full-screen mode and behaved as expected.
You might try forcing it into window’d mode at startup from the command line (+set fullscreen 0).

Intel, Mac OS X 10.5.2 (9C31)
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

silly question, but have you installed 2.60c before the 2.60d patch ?

Hi, I’ve the same pbm and some of my friends too. :frowning:
We have all done a clean install

In fact, it seems to happen only with Leopard 10.5.2, not under Tiger. Some have Bootcamp/Windows. others no.

What kind of mac do you have ?

(Nail) #5

might ask Brad at Aspyr if it has something to do with Leopard
he drops in here once in a while:

In fact, the answer is here : play in windowed mode

Both those patches simply replace the executable afaik, so there’s no reason to install 2.60c.

(Nail) #8

2.60c is the game, not an update

Well, then it’s pretty obvious that he did, otherwise the console would tell him that he’s “missing essential files”.

Macs are funny creatures, of which I know little outside of spelling

maybe he needs the UB version
