I get no servers in the servers list! What to do?

Make sure you’ve specified where to get the list from, i.e. Internet as opposed to LAN or Favourites.

Also, have you applied the new 1.02 patch? Cos if not you’ll only see unpatched servers, of which there aren’t too many left. Check your filters to make sure you’re not filtering out a whole load of servers that you might otherwise want to see.

also check that your firewall (if you have one) is properly configured for et.

Other than that, the master server may be down again.

u could also try using “ASE” as in “all seeing eye” wich is a program wich works like gamespy, but without the bullshit around it…

It works like a charm { and u can find buddys with it } :chef:

I have the patch. How should the firewall be configured? What tcp ports should be allowed? The weirdest thing is that ET worked fine last week…

If it worked fine last week, then it is not propably a problem with the firewall.

Do the following:

1.Patch your game to 1.02.
2.Check that the list source is “internet”
3.Pray.

:angry: I started having this problem shortly after the last patch.
I have a XP 1900+ AMD cpu 1 gig of pc2100 ram on a soyo Dragon sv7yplus Mobo and an ATI radeon 8500 ole video card.

all the latest drivers installed

I think it may have something to do with Punkbuster. In the past when my PB did not auto-update No servers would be listed in the server selection screen.Once I updated Punkbuster they would.

Now even with the gameclient patched to 1.02 and Punkbuster with the latest patch I have no servers listed in the selection screen.

When I use a 3rd party server selection utility , ie All Seeing Eye the servers are listed (many, many servers).
I select a server and I get a pop-up stating the server is unresponsive and givin a choice to force connect, so I force connect and enter a game.
After a few moments of game play I get :“disconnected from the server for some unkonwn reason”
I had a friend tell me it was a PB error the bounced me something like

screen size svar fullscreen= 1 or something.

I have never messed with the cvar settings so just incase I scrounged up an extra harddrive and did a nice fresh install of XP and ET updated everything and no servers are listed and I have the same problem as I did before.
If I turn punkbuster off and join a server,( via AllSeeingEye) that does not have Punkbuster enabled I forve connect and stay connected
I have a second workstation with an Nvidia based card and it works fine I’m thinking this could be an Issue with either the newest ATI driver or Punkbusters last version.

I hit the ` key at the server selection screen I noticed the following

1508 server not listed (filtered out by game browser settings)

I have NONE of the filters selected and the source set at internert

I’ve checked some and resfreshed and still I get the same message

I’m running behind a Natting router joining to un plug it and try a direct line to see if that is what it is.

I would bet that your using a nating router, like a Linksys cable/dsl switch router
