I have downloaded the installation file, but when I run it, it comes up with a DOS-like window saying “Program is too big to fit in memory”… yet I have something like 580mb free available RAM!!! What can I do, I really want to play!
I’ve ran a virus scan.

That’s an odd one. Presumably you’ve shut down everything else prior to the install? If so, sounds like there’s a problem with your PC, hard to diagnose without more information.
What information can I provide to help?
My PC is
AMD 1400mhz
768mb SDRAM
The drive it’s on has 102gb free
Windows XP
64mb Geforce II mx400
This happens (at least in W2K) if the file is corrupt. Try downloading it again, preferrably from another source.
It does sound like a corrupted download.
Perhaps you can get someone who has broadband to burn it on CD for you ? Even if they have to mail it to you, media + postage should be more than $1. I’d be happy to do it if I was in aus, but I’m not
