The Barrett seems (to me) to be the better choice than the Dragnov, unless you’re unsure of your shot, or the enemies are standing in the open… Bolt action is more damage per hit in pretty much all places, so if your goal is to “soften them up,” if you can only get one shot on target the Barrett seems better.

You can take two of the same weapon class, but they won’t share ammo. Your primary weapon will have to be ‘downgraded’ to match the class of your secondary, though.

It is possible to go around with two pistols (secondary) but not two assault rifles (primary)?

Or you can have two miniguns, but they do not share the same ammo?

I thinmk he is saying you can take two weapons, but a medium would have to take two light weapons, and a heavy would have to take two medium weapons, and a light would have to take two pistols.

What he means is that you cannot have two primary weapon types for your body type:

-Light body types can wield a light gun as primary, and a sidearm (pistol) as secondary.
-Medium body types can wield a medium gun as primary, and a light gun or sidearm as secondary.
-Heavy body types can wield a heavy gun as primary, and a medium gun, light gun, or sidearm as secondary.

Example:

-Light body types wielding two sidearms (ie: Pistols).
-Medium body types wielding two light guns (ie: SMGs).
-Heavy body types wielding two medium guns (ie: Assault rifles).

I simply think he didn’t actually meant ‘. Your primary weapon will have to be ‘downgraded’ to match the class of your secondary’ as that would mean a primary would have to be downgraded to the level of a pistol should you chose to take one.

What he means is that an SMG is simply better than a pistol, for instance, so if you want to have two pistols, you’re not going to get a pistol that’s just as good as an SMG for your primary, you’re going to have two weapons that are crap compared to an SMG.

" to match the class" is ambiguous at best but siding on the idea that the secondary brings down your primary to the same level of the secondary which would be clearly not what he meant.

I don’t think taking two SMG’s as a medium or two pistols as a Light, for example, would put me at too much of a disadvantage, if at all. The weapons are all situational. It’s all in how, when, and where you use them.

Now, if I were to take two pistols as a Heavy, I might be somewhat inconvenienced. Still probably try it at least once though…
