This question came up when i was thinking about how switching guns is faster than reloading. It wouldnt be applicable very often, since a heavier weapon should almost always be better. Instead of a pair of SMGs you might as well have an AR/SMG.
But say someone just wanted to snipe. Could a Medium take two Barrett Long Rifles? Instead of working the bolt, you could just switch between one gun and the other, and get twice the magazine size.
Wouldn’t that be insanely unbalanced? Going by that a heavy could take 2 Miniguns or fully auto grenade launchers. I highly doubt you can take 2 of the same weapon. But I’ve been wrong before.

Thats different than what im asking. Doing what you said would be taking two primary guns. What im suggesting is taking two of the same secondary gun.
Maybe a better example would be a heavy character. Say someone likes being a heavy but prefers weapons more precise than a machine gun. Could he just Get two of the same AR, if he happened to like that one alot? That way, instead of doing a reload, you could just weapon switch and have a fresh mag.
def an interesting question. But I was under the impression that your main slot could only house your top tier weapon type and your secondary could house anything below that.
though after reading this I may have to change my view on the whole deal.

Ahh my bad i misunderstood. Yeah spose that would be less of an issue if it was only the same secondary weapon. But i still doubt that it can be done. I only say that because i can’t think of a game that has been done in.

I am pretty sure double SMG was possible when I got to play the game last year. I did not take notes so I could be wrong, but I am fairly confident my character had two different SMGs equipped.

I saw that in the latest Get Smart video. Kross + Bupdaun.
If 2 SMG’s are possible, does this still mean 2 long rifles are possible, since you could just take 1 of each?
I understand what the OP is saying, he is not saying have two of the same weapons i.e. minigun + minugun. What he means is say could a Medium bodytype have 2 light type weapons equiped one in the primary slot and one in the secondary, or similarly could a heavy have 2 medium weapons equiped?
For me it kind of defeats the purpose though, one of the main reasons to have a heavier body type is so you can access the bigger guns. You can come up with better weapon combinations. Right now I like the idea of a A heavy soldier with the Minigun as Primary and the Lobster Grenade launcher as secondary.
I guess so. Since only one of them is a bolt action rifle, that would not be as much of a problem though.
Or two assault rifles. I wonder if you can do that. Maybe it is related to class somehow.
