If you aware of ActiveX / Java you shouldn’t try it.
ET:QW isn’t added yet.

Pretty cool, but it could be misleading to novice PC users. For example, I fail pretty much everything because it doesn’t recognize my CPU model, even though it passes most speed requirements. If someone didn’t understand that, they would just see the big red “FAIL” and start panicking.

DirectX isn’t just Direct3D. There are other components in DirectX like DirectDraw, DirectSound, DirectSound3D, DirectInput and more.

id has been using DirectX since like Quake 1. Specially DirectInput.

you can also use the microsoft game advisory, but it doesn’t list ET:Quake Wars either.

ET 2.60 loads dinput8.dll, but afaik it doesn’t actually use it (iirc the etpro team was working on it for the patch but didn’t include it in the end for some reason). There does seem to be DirectInput support in Q3 though.

Why do the testing so hard with this stupid java… Just know what your rig has in it and compare it to this:

In other words i can run it as I meet all system requirements except for the CPU. But ok my XP 1800+ is OC-ed a bit to faster than 1900+. And this doesnt say a thing. Q4 also required a 2000+ where my PC didn’t have any problem with running it.
