Yes.

There are several other threads with this purpose only which you could have used.

I doubt it. Don’t think your gfx card will be able to handle BRINK. It’s an onboard one and not meant for gaming.

-isn’t tech savvy-

mind copy pasting/quoting specifically where it says about GFX card?

What’s this then?

Card name: Intel® HD Graphics

(crazyfoolish) #6

Although i have limited knowledge i’m going to agree with Diablo here. You’ll probably be able to run Brink. Just very poorly.

(DarkangelUK) #7

This is the part that relates to your graphics. I think it’s going to struggle personally, but could be workable with some graphics tweaks possibly.

Oh, I wasn’t suggesting that there wasn’t one, I was just asking for it to be highlighted out.

That card is very good for video, but not for gaming. It’s slightly better than not having one.

The card in your anandtech-link ist the HD 2000/3000, but the one in Sorak’s PC is even a generation older.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_GMA

The HD 3000, may run some slightly older games in low resolution or/and low details, the HD 2000 is already much slower and the GMA HD (the one he has built in) is again much slower than the HD 2000.

So no it’s not able to run BRINK in any way.

What of

?

(trollface) #12

Picmip 4 ftw

(system) #13

You can’t change the graphics card in your laptop. Furthermore this is a desktop card.

Do you also have a desktop? Because that one doesn’t get into a laptop

(Sorak) #15

I know, <:

But I am pondering whether to get my computer working again, it has that.

In that link you can also see some Intel HD 733 which may be closer to what he has.

You’ll a very good CPU to go with that, just the GPU won’t help.

(system) #18

Okay, didn’t get this from your post.

Yes the GTX 400 series is fine for BRINK, even with HQ settings. What CPU does your Desktop have?

(Sorak) #19

How does one increase GPU?

(system) #20

Ah okay, yes that’s the same card series but the desktop model. The 733 stands for the core clock, so even the HD 733 is faster than his card due to higher clocks.
