This doesn’t make sense. Your GPU (graphics card) is fine. The question is what CPU (processor) do you have to pair it with?
Can my PC run the game? Specs given.
If your Core 2 (hopefully Quad) is very close to the minimum requirements, you are wasting money on that GPU. Better to wait for the game to come out and see what performance people are getting with minimum specifications.
Minimum system requirements
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz
2GB RAM
NVIDIA 8800GS / AMD Radeon HD 2900 Pro
Windows XP (SP3)/Vista/Windows 7
8GB free HDD space
Core 2 Duo E4500.
I have a feeling that’s bad.
Yea, it’s below minimum. Your kick ass GPU will not help at all.
With the 460 though, you’ve still got more chance running it on the desktop than the laptop… it’ll just look pretty crap and at low res.
Isn’t it usually around this time that Auzner shows up and puts all the rabble in their place with his knowledge?
This. With the GPU being the in spec component, he has a better chance of maintaining a good framerate. If you kill everything that is running except Windows, you should be stable for most of the game. If you get too many enemies on screen, you may suffer from the CPU tracking all of them and the projectiles. Upgrading your CPU will be much cheaper than attempting(probably without success) to replace your GPU in your laptop. That integrated chip will probably not run this game at all. Any Intel chip runs very slowly.
